Imagine waking up in a strange place, unable to remember your name or even how you arrived. That's what happened to Estelle in this story that blends fantasy fiction and sci-fi, taking place partly inside a biosphere. During her struggle to regain her identity, Estelle learns that many things are not as they seem in this self-contained environment. For example, the head administrator and financier, Mrs. Whittemore, is a sorceress. Many of the Biospherians are capable of mind speak, and Estelle's first friend and ally is a shape shifter. Perhaps most bewildering is that Estelle learns that she, too, has Powers. A surprise attack on the biosphere has the inhabitants wondering who could want to cause them harm. Little did they know that they had been infiltrated by an evil wizard. Imagine their astonishment when they learn that he had been living amongst them for a decade, plotting. When Estelle is abducted, they soon realize that others are being kidnapped and dragged off to the fortress to be used in unspeakably sinister experiments. Of course, they must be rescued, but just how will they storm a fortress?

Thomas Gleason (1607-1686) married Susanna Page, and emigrated before 1642 from England to Watertown, Massachusetts, moving about 1654/1655 to Cambridge, and in 1658 to Charlestown, Massachusetts. Descendants lived in New England, New York, Missouri, Kansas, California and elsewhere. Name was spelled "Leeson" in early records.
