A sketchbook memoir. Four self-published zines, collaged from five books, are collected herein. A fifth has been woken from its coma and put to rest for good. An introduction in words refracts into fragmented comics panels. Three appendices burst with decoded context. Finally, a trio of addenda tingle at the end like distressed extremities. 2001-2010, the decade of my thirties, singe these pages with their scattered ashes.

Her eyes shut, and her hand went limp in mine. She was gone. I looked at the place to which her eyes had been directed but could see nothing. Tears ran down my cheeks as I stood there in the quiet, dimly lit room. Then I realized I was standing on hallowed ground because the Lord had just been in the room. I wanted so badly for her to open her eyes one more time and tell me what he looked like, but she was gone. She was now healed and at the right hand of the Lord in heaven. I kissed her on the cheek and whispered goodbye. Then for the first time, I thanked God for this job. I finally understood what my purpose was. I had just walked my first patient to the edge of heaven and handed her off to the Lord. I did not know it at the time, but God had only just begun to show me what he wanted me to learn from this journey.

The legs which connect them to the ground are the essays which wander from the personal to the universal in their restless quest to confess all the sins of mankind.
Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2015 in the subject Chemistry - Organic Chemistry, , language: English, abstract: The present study investigates the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane-butane (C3–C4) fraction over mono (Cr or Mo) and bi-metal (Cr-Mo) loaded SiO2 catalysts. The catalysts were prepared by sequential impregnation method at 500oC calcination temperature. Experiments were performed by feeding C3–C4 fraction, oxygen, nitrogen, and steam into a continuous flow quartz reactor at an atmospheric pressure (P = 1 atm.), reaction temperatures between 500 – 650oC, gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) within 100 – 400 h-1, and at reaction time (tr) = 2h. Appropriate water vapor addition to the feed sinificantly minimizes oxidation into coke deposits on the catalyst surface, and also prevents further olefin conversion into undesirable product. The physicochemical properties were evaluated by BET, XRD, IR, and EPR characterization techniques. The major oxidation products are ethylene, propylene, isobutylene, butylene. This paper reports that the total yield of olefins (Ʃ C2-C4) = 66.0 % was achieved at 83.5 % conversion level of C3–C4 at 630oC. The results indicate that the addition of Mo to catalysts of Cr/SiO2 modifies its catalytic activity for the ODH reaction. Mono-metallic catalysts (Cr/SiO2 and Mo/SiO2) were prepared for comparison purposes.

Holding local office as a magistrate was almost essential for further prominence, but holding a commission in the militia was equally if not more important. Anglicanism was an enormous advantage in achieving prominence. In addition, national origin was also an important political divider: the number of prominent Scots was even greater than historians have previously suspected while there was a consistent under-representation of native-born Canadians in the group studied. Prominence was usually bestowed from above, rather than achieved by upward striving and merit. Consequently patronage, having the right connections in the central executive government, was crucial to advancement beyond the first levels of prominence. Correct political views were necessary for advancement, but religion and nationality were at least as significant. Becoming Prominent includes an extensive appendix which contains the biographical data upon which the author's findings are based.
