This book presents the fundamental methods of modeling, analysis and synthesis of transport processes which allow: - to optimize the work of transport organizations according to different criteria of their functioning; - to evaluate the quality of decisions made in conditions of high entropy and uncertainty of technological processes when applying new technologies and systems; -to reduce the negative impact of the human factor on the safety of ongoing transport processes by increasing the motivational component of the training processes for the operator of active transport systems. The structural diagrams presented in this book make it possible to visualize the processes of training, self-training of operators and the mechanisms of the formation of volitional motivational efforts under various external influences of the environment and the teacher–instructor. The obtained functional dependencies serve as an assessment for determining and forming the dynamics of motivation and making a decision about the readiness for safe work of the operator of active transport systems and the decision-maker in the new conditions of the technological process.
The Russian Far East was a remarkably fluid region in the period leading up to, during, and after the Russian Revolution. The different contenders in play in the region, imagining and working toward alternative futures, comprised different national groups, including Russians, Buryat-Mongols, Koreans, and Ukrainians; different imperialist projects, including Japanese and American attempts to integrate the region into their political and economic spheres of influence as well as the legacies of Russian expansionism and Bolshevik efforts to export the revolution to Mongolia, Korea, China, and Japan; and various local regionalists, who aimed for independence or strong regional autonomy for distinct Siberian and Far Eastern communities and whose efforts culminated in the short-lived Far Eastern Republic of 1920–1922. This book has been designed to summarize current, essential information for every one of the world’s 700+ hard tick species. Under each species name, we will cite the original description, followed by information on type depositories, known stages, distribution (by zoogeographic region and ecoregion), hosts, and human infestation (if any). Each species account will also include a list of salient references and, where necessary, remarks on systematic status. We envision eight chapters: six devoted to the major ixodid tick genera (Amblyomma, Dermacentor, Haemaphysalis, Hyalomma, Ixodes, Rhipicephalus), one covering eight minor genera (including two that are fossil), and a concluding summary chapter. There will be two tables on host associations and zoogeography in each major genus chapter, as well as five tables in the summary chapter, for a total of 17 tables. No similar synopsis of the world’s hard tick species exists in any language.
