Lifeless or lively , the choice is ours . Divine or demonic, the choice is ours. Worshiping an idol or worshiping our souls, the choice is ours . But then why do we choose to disrespect our strength? Why do we choose to displease ourselves? You think Durga has an answer for this . Yes! She does. But you have to listen to your soul . You have to introspect about yourself to hear what she says about choices-which is the foundation of your strength . Nobody is powerful , they make themselves powerful , they make constant effort to fight fears, thoughts , agony to shape themselves. Durga was formed by the trinity because the trinity fell short of power. They were at an endangering stage when the Devi was birthed. Likewise we are formed by our parents . Like Durga even we have a purpose but what we lack is awareness. We are living but oblivious of who we are? We are living but are wondering why we wander so much ? We don’t know why we exist and that is exactly the idea of this book , The Strength of Durga: A Perception . While the writers believed that they were penning down the strength of Durga , they were in reality writing about how they envision themselves. We have created a form, of Durga but not sure if Durga looked like her , so the idol that we imagine and write is our divine refection, our best self and that is a chapter that we have yet not touched . Therefore, the code of this book is plain – Durga’s Strength = Your Strength And with this code you can unlock the meaning of this book.
How both women and men are supposed to describe a man’s heart? Expression is usually a comfortable synonym for women. But men understand their hearts better. This dilemma captured the compiler’s mind when she was developing the anthology idea. Because if we look at the mask that men have to wear or they willingly wear. We cannot uncover a man’s heart. So how do we penetrate and not just predict the architecture of a man’s heart? If we predict we might limit ourselves to the masculinity in them and only talk about their pride, ego, strength, and responsibilities (not that writers haven’t talked about it) and other facades that men exhibit. Now, what if we try to tap into their feminine side? Which are their emotions, their way of expression, the way they feel loved, they reciprocate love and most importantly the way they love themselves? In this attempt, we can discover the various facets of men that we otherwise do not see. Therefore, A Man’s Heart is an exploration, where men and women have come together to deduce the man’s core.
When women and men unite they become powerful procreators. However, since menstruation is majorly endured and experienced by women, some men though keep themselves close to the process but the majority distance themselves from discussion and giving care to the women.Procreation is the reality of humankind but we choose not to speak about it and the process related to it yet continues. Now, here is the thing, the majority of men have a fragmented understanding of menstruation. As a result, they see it from the lenses of taboo and not a natural process. There is a constant mention of men here, but let’s change the track and switch to women. What do you think, because women menstruate that allows them to have a balanced perspective about periods? Absolutely, not. Even in this information age, there are many women who think a pack of sanitary napkins should be wrapped in the stories of the newspaper so that people don't read the hidden story. There are women who choose not to discuss this natural phenomenon thinking this is a sex-related concept which can’t be shared. And they just don't put a period here. They go further to preach the same to their sons and daughters. So here is the thing only a few women choose to discuss this phenomenon. And that is why we are living in this illusive reality that blood from the vagina is impure. Menstruation is less of a taboo and more of a confusion. Therefore, it needs more and more discussion. And that is why this anthology, Impure: Menstruation and Mentality was created so that the little section of men and women come up and share their perspectives on Menstruation .
An uncomplicated meaning of Corona is crown. But, did you wear any crown when we were hit by the pandemic? Now you must be thinking, what crown? We surely didn't wear any crowns because we weren't the queens and the kings of our dukedom. We were dethroned by Corona and became the slaves of the pandemic. We were not even allowed to feel like humans, we were given shots of fear, and it felt as if we were under the surveillance of an invisible ruler(Covid). But there is a different reality that the author seems to believe in. The author thinks we all wore a crown but were unaware of it. Now, what were the styles of crowns? Possibly the crown of depression or a crown of loss. Maybe a crown of narcissism or a crown of satisfaction? Now you must be thinking about where such crowns were found. You didn't find a physical crown above your head, but you have a crown within you that was shining to get identified by you. You see crown is a representation. And, there is one distinctive representation the author has attempted to show. During the pandemic's darkness, when people were concerned about protecting their bodies, they found their soul(internal representation) that helped them gain strength and fight Covid. The author believes that the isolation and restriction pushed many to wear the crown of spirituality to give meaning to solitariness. Therefore, in the phase of our life where the world was paused, we still upgraded by creating a higher perspective.
The answers one requires to dissolve an internal judgment are concealed in the dark sheet of the night. The mysterious velvety stretch is connected with starry creative dots that are cozy up with the risk of becoming a change maker for humankind. People work through their fears under the balsamic moonlight to embrace their worthiness and greet the wellness of their minds. We deconstruct our doubt to reach a conclusive resolution sitting under a new moon that connects our vision with the relaxing velvety night. However, the distraction of the shiny perceptions boggles our reason to fathom the hidden colors of the spectrum absorbed by the visible darkness in the night. What is the definition of darkness? Is it the shadow’s pride or plight? That has to be decided with the assistance of the divine expressions.
Have you ever pondered upon this idea that you and the people around can be All Right if we ALL WRITE? Expression is a relief for humanity. Because the more we restrict ourselves from talking and behaving a certain way the more we walk towards darkness. Sometimes we lack a voice, we don't know what to feel and how to feel and that is when external words help create a mirror in which we can see our inner reflection. You see when we write we consciously or unconsciously weave words that narrate to us our story. A story that we consciously suppress either because we think it isn't worth thinking about or sharing or it gets inhibited by others' judgment. But you see stories have an incredible power it oozes out from us the moment we get a little vulnerable. Writing, therefore, defines our vulnerability and dictates why we feel what we feel. It introduces us to our unique expression so that we can be fearless to sing our own songs. To be a writer you will never require to fit into any eligibility criteria the reason being there are no criteria. It is a medium of expression that teaches you to be boundless and when the aim is to know no bounds, everyone is worthy. You don't need to be an ace writer, you don't have to write volumes about something, you just have to write about yourself to get a direction in life. Writing is that simple yet profound. Writing heals past bruises, broadens your horizons, helps you love yourself, and assists you in self-introspection. Writing is a divine force that expells your sadness.
Are you coming in the way of your thoughts? Are you pushing your thoughts away, so you do not get triggered by what you are thinking? Are you someone who doesn't know how to put a period on the negative thoughts? Then what to do? Follow the mantra- LET YOUR THOUGHTS FLOW and let your stances pass by or through you. Don't clog thoughts because then you are neither in a position to make room for new ideas nor have the courage to let them ooze out of your mind. Your thoughts can make or break you. If required, it veils your truth from you and prioritizes your facade. But let your thoughts flow is more like a piece of advice. So how do you exercise this advice? One transformative exercise is writing. The skill knows precisely what to extract from you and what to keep in your system for a while. Therefore the compiler, along with 40 other writers, worked on the theme - Let your thoughts flow; that seemed to be a pretty simple theme to deal with. However, with time, the team was astonished to witness their authentic selves in their pieces of work. Letting your thoughts flow can never be a superficial idea because the moment you listen to this suggestion, you permit your mind to drift. And then it is impossible to dampen your perspective. Always remember that every thought has a degree of intensity that may make you feel neutral or overwhelm you. You just have to cancel out the power with your analysis, and then you can rule your thoughts.
Hello Readers! Thank you so much for picking up this book! We are glad that you want to spend your time reading the confessions of the writers. However, before you delve into the heartfelt revelations, can you think of a meaning of confessions? Well, if you look up into the dictionary it should be accepting being guilty of committing a crime. But from the compiler's view confession is the acknowledgement and the acceptance of the self. The human self is often held guilty of expressing its true identity and feelings. You see our self is often made not a house that embraces emotions but a storehouse that dumps sentiments. Because the sentiments are usually buried, human beings mostly feel attacked and threatened by their inner self. This is the reason why humans are latched in their outer world. The humans who were supposed to be the conduit of the home and the world, do not know how to worship their home(their sentiments). So to turn individuals to their home for sometime , ‘Confessions’ was created. This compilation is aimed to alter the literal meaning of confessions. The compiler urged the writers to own up to their sentiments and see their inner world as their power. So my lovely readers, what you will read at every turn in confessions is the POWER OF SENTIMENTS!
Who Am I? A species. A human with flesh and blood. An individual with virtues and flaws. Or an undiscovered spirit. Who Am I? Do I belong to this life that I am birthed in? Or am I bound to transcend the limitations of this life? What is my identity? Is how people identify me my reality or I have yet to find my identification? Who am I? It is a question of purpose. It is both a path-finder and a path-breaker. Or let's just put it like this- ‘this question ought to be a path-breaker to become a path-finder’. You see we are all looking for ourselves. Some are on the verge of finding themselves. Others have just begun the process. Furthermore, there is a section of people comfortable playing the identity imposed on them. Whatever, people’s state is. Everyone has an answer to this question and those who don't still choose to answer this with uncertainty. Who Am I, includes us in this life. Hence, 20 co-authors have come on board to address this question and share their understanding of themselves.
Deciding for life and analysing life is a crucial need to journey to our deathbed. To fulfil this need we communicate with ourselves. Communication with oneself is known as intrapersonal communication an important typology of communication that takes us within. We say that our within is immaterial, invisible and must be felt. But here is the thing, feelings can be touched, heard and read. How? Through writing. ‘A Letter to Myself’, is an endeavour to connect our outside actions to the self with words. Writing down what triggers, settles, and excites us take us to the zenith of realisation, which can be overwhelming at first but a guiding force next. Writers' first job is to cater to their readers but since it is Valentine’s week, ‘A Letter to Myself’ is only meant to be a feel-good writing session for the writers. This anthology is meant to celebrate the unique selves of the writers who are given an opportunity to get vulnerable.
