A comprehensive account of how India fought the war against the Covid-19 pandemic, Stop Predicting, Revisit Life offers a 360-degree account of the unprecedented health crisis brought on by the pandemic, from the reverse migration of millions of migrant workers to the debilitating impact of a lockdown that led to the biggest annual contraction of the Indian economy since 1952. It is based on deep analysis of official data and documents released by the government and international institutions, the debates in Indian Parliament, official reports tabled therein and information collected from the ground during the pandemic. While offering new policy and legislative measures to combat a COVID-19-like pandemic in the future, Stop Predicting, Revisit Life explores in detail issues of how we perceive life, what it takes to be resilient and how we can work together as society.
The years are long gone. But many summers into the end of the memorable four-year college stint, nothing seems to have changed. Given a chance to relive or redo the four Rourkela years, not one boy will choose a life any different. Because the campus was one place where the size of your pocket holes never came in the way of partying; where how unprepared you were for "tomorrow's" exam, never came in the way of watching "tonight's" movie at the college A/V Hall; where oxygen in the air was a mere formality, the boys enjoyed inhaling uncertainty! This collection of kahaani (stories) may have been set against the backdrop of the campus adjoining the Koel river. But isn't this the same wind that blows in just about every college and every hostel? Where life is about complaining way more than adoring? About swearing way more than appreciating? And finally realizing one day how naive we were. Eventually recognizing how, but for those priceless memories, life would not have had as much to cherish. This book is about me for sure. It has to be about you as much!

After going through the works of Swami Yivekananda, it's quite easy to find out that he was a master in real sense. He was not only a spiritual or religious leader but he was a nationalist in approach and an undisputed thinker. Swami Vivekananda had scientific view coupled with spirituality for each and every problem. His observations about each and every field of life arc amazing and these are also relevant today. Our policy makers love to quote western thinkers and always try to solve the problems of country through western techniques but they never intend to take some lessons from the thinkers of our own country. Swami Yivekananda passed away in 1902 but his views are here to guide us to check those problems India is facing today. And, this is the reason behind the creation of this book.
