The book examines corruption control in post-reform China. Contrary to the normal perception that corruption is a type of behavior that violates the law, the author seeks to approach the issue from a social censure perspective, where corruption is regarded as a form of social censure intended to maintain the hegemony of the ruling bloc. Such an approach integrates societal structure, political goals, and agency into a single framework to explain dynamics in corruption control. With both qualitative data from officials in power and officials in jail and quantitative data from university students, the book explores how the censure on corruption was created and has been applied from 1978 to the present. Though primarily intended for academics, the book is also accessible for general audiences, especially given its intriguing perspective and use of firsthand data on corruption that cannot be found anywhere else.

Who are we? Where are we from? These questions have troubled people for centuries. The textbooks have long taught us that human beings evolved from anthropoid apes. Today, a new science, molecular anthropology, tells us this: 7 billion human beings in the world share a common grand, grand…father, the Y-chromosome Adam, and share a common grand, grand…mother, the Mitochondrial Eve. After reading information in this book, you will be convinced that human beings could not be the result of evolution, sudden mutation, or in any way related to the anthropoid apes.
National data for the performance of China's economy are misleading. China remains a series of partially integrated regional economies. A long-held assumption has been that if the coastal areas grow first, that growth in the less developed regions will follow. In this book, the authors examine this topic.
This Brief reviews contemporary research conducted in university and industry laboratories on thermal management in electrochemical energy storage systems (capacitors and batteries) that have been widely used as power sources in many practical applications, such as automobiles, hybrid transport, renewable energy installations, power backup and electronic devices. Placing a particular emphasis on supercapacitors, the authors discuss how supercapacitors, or ultra capacitors, are complementing and replacing, batteries because of their faster power delivery, longer life cycle and higher coulombic efficiency, while providing higher energy density than conventional electrolytic capacitors. Recent advances in both macro- and micro capacitor technologies are covered. The work facilitates systematic understanding of thermal transport in such devices that can help develop better power management systems.
Does the Christian faith have scientific evidence? This is difficult to believe. However, since DNA was discovered, we now understand the entire DNA coding sequence of humans is consistent and the difference is only one-thousandth. The theory of mathematics-probability tells us that it could not be the result of spontaneous generation. Therefore, the molecular biologist put forward that people of the whole world have the common grandfather- Y chromosome Adam theory; and the common grandmother-Eve theory. Do you agree? What is amazing is that there is no difference between man’s and woman’s 2.9 billion chromosomal DNA coding sequence, meaning that human DNA coding is from one individual. Only men have the complete set of the chromosome, so the source individual must be a man and the first woman was from the man. The first man had no carnal parents and it only could be Adam created by God. Due to the constancy of biological genome DNA coding, it is impossible for any species to have an evolution connection, not even microevolution. This is what is recorded in the Bible as “all living from each category”. It, therefore, can be seen that life’s DNA coding sequence is from God’s Creation. From our DNA, we could see that all the substances and lives in the universe are created by God. These scientific facts are totally consistent with the Biblical record and are objective evidence of the Christian faith.
Who are we? Where are we from? These questions have troubled people for centuries. Textbooks have long taught us that humans evolved from apes. Today, a new science, Molecular Anthropology, tells us that: nearly 7 billion humans in the world share a common grand, grand…father, the Y-chromosome Adam. And they also share a common grand, grand…mother, the Mitochondrial Eve. The difference in DNA coding is only one-thousandth between any persons in the world. After reading this book, you will be convinced that humans could not have been the result of Evolution. In 1987, Professor Allan Wilson’s research team at UC Berkeley proposed the “Mitochondrial Eve Theory” by DNA coding that all humans originated from one woman who lived about 200,000 years ago. In 1995, Drs. Dorit et. proposed the “Adam Theory” by DNA coding of Y-Chromosomal that all humans originated from one man. There are two kinds of DNA encoding in our body: chromosomal DNA and mitochondrial DNA. The chromosome consists of three types: autosome, Y chromosome, and X chromosome. The Eve Theory is founded on the mitochondrial DNA while the Adam Theory is founded on the Y chromosome. So what can we see from the autosome? The simple biological fact that “there are no differences between the autosomes of male and female”, tells us a striking truth that is: the autosome of all men in the world must come from only one original version, and cannot be produced randomly. Therefore, the authors of this book have established a “The only one Adam theory” by the consistency of autosomal DNA coding of men and women. All human beings on earth came from him and the earliest female ancestor came from this male ancestor. In addition, we also provide you with an answer which science cannot offer: Creationism.
There are two big problems that science still has not resolved. They are: What are we? Where do we come from? These two questions have troubled people for centuries. 150 years ago, Charles Darwin wrote two books: "On the Origin of Species" and "The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex". In these two books, the theory of species evolution was proposed: all species are constantly evolving; the present people and all species are formed through natural selection. The basis of this theory is based on the comparison of biological forms. Now, knowing that all the genetic information of living things is completely determined with DNA, is evolution still correct? Did humanity evolve from apes? This book will answer these questions.
This book formulates a new theory of subjectivity in the context of the claimed “death of the subject” in the post-modern and post-human age. The new theory is developed against the conception of the subject as a transcendental ego whose constitutive roles, recognition, and representation lead to the objectivization and totalization of the world and denial of its inner infinity and heterogeneity. Critically scrutinizing ideas from Bergson, James, Husserl, Heidegger, Derrida, Zen Buddhism, and Chinese Zhuangzi, and through an analysis of time and temporality, this book advances a number of new concepts, including “primal sensibility” and “pure experience,” and proposes a porous structure of subjectivity with an ex-egological and ex-subjective zone that allows nothingness and absence to ground presence. Such a theory of subjectivity provides the basis for an understanding of thinking as imagination and self-identity as narrative presentation in the intersubjective world.

Two-stage single-phase converters, including two-stage single-phase dc-ac inverters and two-stage single-phase PFC converters, are interfacing power converters between dc and ac voltage/current sources, which have been widely applied for dc-ac and ac-dc power conversion. For the two-stage single-phase converter, the ac-side power pulsates at twice the ac voltage frequency, resulting in second harmonic current (SHC) which might flow into the dc-dc converter, the dc voltage source, and dc load. This book clarifies the generation, propagation, and side-effects of this SHC and proposes the SHC reduction control schemes for the dc-dc converter, with different topologies and/or different operating modes, in the single-phase converter. On this basis, the second harmonic current compensator (SHCC) is proposed to compensate the SHC, significantly reducing the dc bus capacitance. In doing so, the electrolytic capacitors, with short lifetimes, are removed from the two-stage single-phase converter, leading to extended system lifetime and enhanced system stability. For having flawless SHC compensation performance, the port-current control schemes are proposed for the SHCC. Additionally, the stability analysis is carried out for the two-stage single-phase converter with the addition of SHCC. This book is a monograph combining theoretical analysis and engineering design, which could not only be a reference book for master students, Ph.D. students, and teachers majoring in power electronics but also be a handbook for the electrical engineers working on the research and development of LED drivers, EV on-board chargers, railway auxiliary power supplies, aviation power supplies, renewable energy generation systems, etc.
