Francois Gos (1880-1975) is a Swiss artist who, following his diploma at the Geneva Ecole des Beaux-Arts, moved to Paris where he became involved with the emerging Arts Decoratifs movement of the early 1900s. In 1901, the famous Librairie Centrale des Beaux-Arts commissioned the young Swiss artist to produce 20 drawings of Swiss alpine flowers, which he executed with the mystical magic of the Art Nouveau style.
