This 2nd novel by Mr. Stevens is gritty. This book is not for the faint of heart, or, as he puts it " The lameos,ie.the frail of intellectual endeavors and the experientially vapid ones will be plain disgusted by it." I am in complete agreement. There are dead body parts, mayhem, erotica, and poetry of a deeply disturbing nature sprinkled liberally throughout this subtle plea for "goodness." The death of his friend and mentor,Yonday, and his "funeral" caps the story. A new perspective is always what this world needs. This book has it "in spades.
