Provides a comprehensive account of the various methods and techniques of representing data structures. This text presents all the important data structures used in system programming and application programming, along with their definitions, operations, implementation and applications.
A firm grounding in the theory of object-oriented analysis and design and its practical application is essential for understanding how to build good software. This book, the third of the Magnifying Series, attempts to explain the object-oriented analysis and design of software through case studies covering various business domains. The book describes various software development models and techniques before introducing the concepts and principles of object-oriented analysis and design. It explains analysis models with the help of business process diagrams, use-case diagrams, class diagrams and object diagrams. The book elaborates design models through sequence diagrams, collaboration diagrams, statechart diagrams and activity diagrams. It also deals with implementation models with the help of component and deployment diagrams. For each diagram, its purpose, notations and design guidelines are given. In addition, the book explains existing object-oriented methodologies. KEY FEATURES: Develops a framework for analysis of business cases followed by design of software solutions for them. Includes several case studies to depict the application of object-oriented analysis and design. Presents chapter-end exercises for the students' comprehension of the subject matter. The text is designed for the students of computer applications (BCA/MCA), computer science (B.Sc./M.Sc.), and computer science and engineering (BE/B.Tech).

The book explains the role of pointers in developing programs and compares arrays with pointe Besides, it also discusses structures and unions as well as various types of file operations with the help of several application programs.
This book talks of different business situations and the process of engineering Management Information System (MIS) framework for these business situations. This text is not aimed to cover the theoretical concepts related to MIS but consciously makes an effort towards application of these concepts to various business domains. There are thousands of ways of developing MIS solutions for a business situation. But the perfect fit is rare. This text explains simple techniques of developing perfect fit MIS solutions for specific business situations. The text is specifically written to successfully bridge the gap between MIS concepts and their applications. The text is most suitable for students pursuing various management and computer courses at graduation and post graduation levels.
Nitya Seva, A devotee’s heartbeat by Srila Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, compiled by Hg Cittahari Caitanya Prabhu. In the course of your day-to-day living, you will remember the Supreme Lord and understand the subjects of devotional service. If the Supreme Lord desires, you will be able to return to this place. The idea of Māyā pervades Indian philosophy. It is enigmatic, multivalent, and foundational, with its oldest referents found in the Rig Veda. This book explores Māyā's rich conceptual history, and then focuses on the highly developed theology of Māyā found in the Sanskrit Bhāgavata Purāṇa, one of the most important Hindu sacred texts. Gopal K. Gupta examines Māyā's role in the Bhāgavata's narratives, paying special attention to its relationship with other key concepts in the text, such as human suffering (duḥkha), devotion (bhakti), and divine play (līlā). In the Bhāgavata, Māyā is often identified as the divine feminine, and has a far-reaching influence. For example, Māyā is both the world and the means by which God creates the world, as well as the facilitator of God's play, paradoxically revealing him to his devotees by concealing his majesty. While Vedānta philosophy typically sees Māyā as a negative force, the Bhāgavata affirms that Māyā also has a positive role, as Māyā is ultimately meant to draw living beings toward Krishna and intensify their devotion to him.
Much has been written on the how colonial subjects took up British and European ideas and turned them against empire when making claims to freedom and self-determination. The possibility of reverse influence has been largely overlooked. Insurgent Empire shows how Britain's enslaved and colonial subjects were not merely victims of empire and subsequent beneficiaries of its crises of conscience but also agents whose resistance both contributed to their own liberation and shaped British ideas about freedom and who could be free. Insurgent Empire examines dissent over the question of empire in Britain and shows how it was influenced by rebellions and resistance in the colonies from the West Indies and East Africa to Egypt and India. It also shows how a pivotal role in fomenting dissent was played by anti-colonial campaigners based in London at the heart of the empire.

Bollywood movies have been long known for their colorful song-and-dance numbers and knack for combining drama, comedy, action-adventure, and music. But when India entered the global marketplace in the early 1990s, its film industry transformed radically. Production and distribution of films became regulated, advertising and marketing created a largely middle-class audience, and films began to fit into genres like science fiction and horror. In this bold study of what she names New Bollywood, Sangita Gopal contends that the key to understanding these changes is to analyze films’ evolving treatment of romantic relationships. Gopalargues that the form of the conjugal duo in movies reflects other social forces in India’s new consumerist and global society. She takes a daring look at recent Hindi films and movie trends—the decline of song-and-dance sequences, the upgraded status of the horror genre, and the rise of the multiplex and multi-plot—to demonstrate how these relationships exemplify different formulas of contemporary living. A provocative account of how cultural artifacts can embody globalization’s effects on intimate life, Conjugations will shake up the study of Hindi film.
