Dee and The Dog: Home at last is about a young girl, Dee, who loses her parents in a tragic automobile accident. The story reveals episodes of her life as she tries to adjust as an orphan. Her new family permits her to have a dog, a beautiful red Doberman, which she names Ignatius. Dee and Ignatius go through a period of loneliness together but eventually find solace and contentment in realizing that happiness is right in their own back yard.
