Becoming a teenage mother in Camden, New Jersey looked like the beginning of the end for Faith to many. At 17 years old, Faith is the mother of two daughters, living on her own, preparing for her high school graduation. She marries the father of her children, overcomes domestic violence, and the rejection of divorce all within the same year. She meets Kevin, a minister of the gospel, whom she falls in love with and marries a few years later. Between the two of them they experienced the deaths of four immediate family members, over a five year period. Their marriage began to swim in the sea of trouble. They would attend marriage counseling, in search of the two people they both fell in love with initially. Faith started her own business and was the Executive Director and CEO of her company Partners Into Action. Faith had it all: a magnificent 6,400 sq. ft. home, situated on one acre of land, with a manicured lawn, tastefully decorated and fully furnished, expensive automobiles, jewelry, designer suits, and a healthy bank account. When the storm came raging, and all Hell broke loose, she had a stroke and would undergo a strenuous rehabilitation process. She wasn’t prepared for what was about to happen next and was knocked completely off her square. She would lose everything and for the first time in her life was faced with homelessness. While serving God and standing strong on her faith, she will discover how to overcome trials, tribulations and setbacks in life. The storm would take her by surprise as she goes from the top of her game high in the sky, to the bottom on the ground. “Now with God fully in my life, it feels like waking up everyday to Superman. What a wonderful change has come over me. Thank you Lord for saving me. You are “The Source of My Strength”.

If you strip away the rosy language of “school-business partnership,” “win-win situation,” “giving back to the community,” and the like, what you see when you look at corporate marketing activities in the schools is example after example of the exploitation of children for financial gain. Over the long run the financial benefit marketing in schools delivers to corporations rests on the ability of advertising to “brand” students and thereby help insure that they will be customers for life. This process of “branding” involves inculcating the value of consumption as the primary mechanism for achieving happiness, demonstrating success, and finding fulfillment. Along the way, “branding” children – just like branding cattle – inflicts pain. Yet school districts, desperate for funding sources, often eagerly welcome marketers and seem not to recognize the threats that marketing brings to children’s well-being and to the integrity of the education they receive. Given that all ads in school pose some threat to children, it is past time for considering whether marketing activities belong in school. Schools should be ad-free zones.

Writing my true-crime autobiography is only half the story. The second half is my redemption and repentance to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. The book is 100 percent truth, from my wild childhood days in New York City to me joining the US Navy at age sixteen and serving eight years honorably. The only problem, I was living a double life. I was also a mob associate and worked with a crew from one of the five families. It was the early 1990s, the reign of the Teflon Don. I want people to know I'm Irish and Polish, not Italian. I did a couple of successful heists by myself after I was betrayed by my mob connections, who were also childhood friends. I tell my complete story where I was charged with the RICO Act, which is organized crime; conspiracy to rob an armored truck; as well as conspiracy to transfer currency across state lines. I never did no major time because of one mob contact, I'll call Big Loser, who was a total idiot. Every job he planned in New York with me went bust. Besides all that, he screwed up my job of a lifetime. My biggest mistake was picking him and his neighbor to take the money from the armored truck company I worked for.

This book surveys more than 125 years of aspects of associative algebras, especially ring and module theory. It is the first to probe so extensively such a wealth of historical development. Moreover, the author brings the reader up to date, in particular through his report on the subject in the second half of the twentieth century. Included in the book are certain categorical properties from theorems of Frobenius and Stickelberger on the primary decomposition of finite Abelian formulations of the latter by Krull, Goldman, and others; Maschke's theorem on the representation theory of finite groups over a field; and the fundamental theorems of Wedderburn on the structure of finite dimensional algebras Goldie, and others. A special feature of the book is the in-depth study of rings with chain condition on annihilator ideals pioneered by Noether, Artin, and Jacobson and refined and extended by many later mathematicians. Two of the author's prior works, Algebra: Rings, Modules and Categories, I and II (Springer-Verlag, 1973), are devoted to the development of modern associative algebra and ring and module theory. Those bibliography of over 1,600 references and is exhaustively indexed. In addition to the mathematical survey, the author gives candid and descriptive impressions of the last half of the twentieth century in ''Part II: Snapshots of fellow graduate students at the University of Kentucky and at Purdue, Faith discusses his Fulbright-Nato Postdoctoral at Heidelberg and at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) at Princeton, his year as a visiting scholar at Berkeley, and the many acquaintances he met there and in subsequent travels in India, Europe, and most recently, Barcelona.
