There is a saying that a friend in need is a friend indeed. This proverb, to my understanding, is about someone or a friend who stretches his or her hand to help their friend in difficult situations. A genuine friend is one who will offer his friend a shoulder to cry on. A friend who will intervene and assist during hard times. One who will intercede on his friend’s behalf when it is most needed. One who will support you when the going gets tough. One who will always be at your beckon call when everyone else leaves you. Such a person is a “friend indeed”. In Who To Call A Friend book, you will be able to identify people you should accept into your life. Proverbs 13:20 “Walk with the wise and become wise, associate with fools and get in trouble”. In the journey of life, we all need to find those who are willing and ready to go all the way with us through thick and thin. This book will help you to build right relationships, value a good friendship with respect, honesty, trust and also learn to say no to dream killers and embrace those that will add value to your life. A friend like Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. I highly recommend Him! Email address: lady_eunice@aol.co.uk Mobile number: + 780 234 6582
Nearly every soul born of a woman in this world has been hurt by the actions or words of another[s]. Perhaps you might have been physically abused as a child; been raped either by a family member, a close pal or a total stranger, someone who spread vicious and humiliating lies about you, your parents put their own needs and egos way ahead of your basic emotional needs as a child, someone might have sucked the joy out of your life through his or her negative, hypocritical, phony, lazy, selfish, and ill-tempered behaviour, or through decades of an unfaithfulness in marriage, or Perhaps your mother criticized your parenting skills when you thought it wasnt even her style or even your partner had an affair. These wounds can leave you with lasting feelings of anger, bitterness and even vengeance, but if you dont practice forgiveness, you may be the one who pays most dearly. By embracing forgiveness, you embrace peace, hope, gratitude and joy. To forgive is not that easy, but this book will give you an idea of and the encouragement to remove out areas you cannot forgive that have kept you from enjoying the best that God has to offer you. Learn what forgiveness is and what is not, uncover physical, emotional and spiritual consequences of un-forgiveness and see why God encourages you to forgive others. I wish you all the best on route to forgiveness. May the favour of God be upon you. Amen.
In different but complementary ways, the chapters in this collection provide a deeper understanding of socio-cultural processes in various parts of the African continent. They do so in the context of contemporary mediated processes of globalization, and emphasize the agency of Africans.
