Rez Cheese, a book about many thoughts. Mainly started from the thought of the huge blocks of mostly cheap left over military surplus cheese sent to the reserves to meet the treaty mandates to provide food to the Natives in exchange for stopping the fighting for their own land. Rez Cheese 2 is about not giving up. We have many inspirational people in our heritage, both local nations, and across the Americas. Suicide, drug addiction, sex trafficking and addiction to pornography are NOT our ways, they demean a person’s soul and the person dies, or kills themselves.
In our programs, we start each meeting with an introduction of ourselves, and go around the room: I am .......and I am wonderful because God created me, there will never be another me.
The third in the Straddling Razor Wire series is aTrilogy of novels and screenplays about real work with high risk children, teens, veterans, first responders and their families in equine therapy programs utilizing each group to design programs to heal themselves, one another and others in Native American traditions of both healing and education. While no real person or life is contained in this trilogy, much of the content is from a compilation of many of the stories of riders over the decades. The stories ad screenplay contain work, both fiction and from the heart of a military and VA Psychiatrist who worked both in the field and VA hospitals. Her stories are based on many stories and do not represent any one patient or therapist. God bless.
Straddling the Barbed Wire, and then one day during a really heavy racial tension project decided it was more like straddling electrified razor wire to be multi racial.........multi-cultural, multi-modality educated, seeing men AND women, NOT fights, seeing FAMILIES, not generational disputes. Seeing starvation, war, genocide, rather than what we, as humans could do on this earth each day, to help others, to maintain and restore nature, to create a better world for the next seven generations and pass that duty on.
I believe that each of us can be, as Abraham Lincoln, Eleanor Roosevelt as well as others across the centuries and nations have told us, HAPPY. Fulfilled, no matter what. Jesus told us to GO and sin no more. I do not believe he ever meant a list of things to memorize and use to gossip and put other persons down about. I do not believe he meant a long list of things to beat ourselves up to conclude that God made a huge mistake in creating US.
In closing, each area of this book is an area you can find one or more ways to make the world better that is easy and often is just YOU making up your mind, to believe and live peace, no matter what the rest of the world is doing. As an example, I have worked for many areas of peace for decades, some projects I worked on, invented, or volunteered to help are today amazing examples of just thinking, praying and believing bringing a tiny bit more peace and balance to this world. Many times I am so sweetly surprised that others have grabbed an idea, or listened in a conference and come home to make their world a better place! That action inspired others and the ideas and better world grew! Many believers of all back grounds over centuries, over thousands of years have found that a job too big, too scary for one person, done in tiny parts by many is successful! Peace.
The original Carousel Horse is a children’s book, an inclusion book for teaching young people who may or may not be able to attend on-site equine therapy. We have found using a screenplay allows young people to integrate the material even though they are not able to attend an on-site program.
OLD MAN THINGS and MARE’S TALES. this is a fun book about old horse trainers I met along the way. My husband used to call the old man stories “old man things”, which are those enchanting and often very effective methods of horse, pet, and even child rearing. I always said I brought up my children and my students the same as I had trained horses and dogs......I meant that horses and dogs had taught me a lot of sensible, humane ways to bring up an individual, caring, and dream realizing adult who was HAPPY and loved.
This book started out to be stories about all our years of teaching, and include stories from other teachers. As we drafted, it became what it is....The second volume of this book will be a lot more stories and how we learned to be teachers. We are still learning, and we are retired.
JOY What is it? It is strength of self. To me it is learning EARLY to depend on GOD for calm, peace and courage in life, to be grateful for what is, the best we can, and to change things, to possess the calm and peace that need to be possessed to figure out what needs to be changed to make life better, for ourselves and others, and with God’s help, to make the changes.
A year out of our lives, not just as an individual, a city, county, state, or nation, the entire world was brought down by the virus known as Covid-19. HOW can we unify and work together, as a family, a block, a school, a city, a county, a state, a nation and a global family of different nations.
PARENTS CAN LIVE and raise great kids. Parents CAN either live, or be alive, surviving and often suffering....as YOU read and interpret the title of this series and this book, you CAN figure it out for YOUR life.
“Happily ever after” is a short book on starting to heal America, and what YOU can do to make your own life “Happily ever after” as well as move that happiness through your family, city, county, and state and America. Written in simple English for teaching programs and families with young children or families where English is a second language.
WARNING: This book is for court mandated domestic violence education and self turn around for women (or men) who let their boyfriends abuse, torture, molest and murder their children. We have heard in the groups, often, that the women lived similar lives as children, they have NO other experience to raise their own children. Others are addicted to drugs, drinking and men so much that they will allow a man to abuse, torture, molest and murder their children rather than get their own lives straightened out. Many of these women live in taxpayer supported housing, supported by public assistance, these programs HAVE taken a mandatory treatment approach. WE as a country HAVE to resolve these issues, and help these women stand up for themselves and their children. THEY, over the past 12 years have helped to shape their workbooks and groups with those who work with them. From Psychiatrists, to the children of the mandated members of the classes, their input is considered and the books HAVE to reach them. If this material offends you, find another group.

This book is called Rez Cheez to memorialize those huge blocks of cheese that were part of the Treaty Rights for Native Nations who ended the genocide of the Native American people and the five-hundred-year wars between Native Nations (who did not believe in war) and those who invaded their lands with newly made guns. The old recipes are mentioned, as well as ways to create them in view of better traditional use of healthy foods, and to better control the diabetes that resulted from those treaty foods which more often than not consisted of fat, sugar, and white flour. All foods not contained in traditional recipes. The cover picture is zucchini lasagne, a heart and diabetes healthier version of use of vegetables and squash which is a traditional Native Nation food resource and of course, Rez cheese, or healthier versions.
