Eli Field was born in Liverpool, England 2 November 1910. His parents were Hyman Field and Bessie Motolev. They emigrated in 1923 and settled in Chicago. He married Dina Kolender 12 February 1933 and they had five children. He was a semi-pro soccer player, businessman and philanthropist. Includes some history of his family in Ukraine.
