De Cero to Zero, a Tale, is not a simple collection of narratives; in essence, it is an intricate warp and weft that invites us to find the skein thread each time we go from one short story to the next. In addition, Edel Romay makes us consider the idea that Reality does not exist without an observer. In other words, reading is, in fact, an act of dialogue with the author. Besides, human Reality (Reality), as Edel considers it, is the boundary between the macro-reality of the universe (REALITY) and the inner nano reality of the atom (Reality). That is, [REALITY (Reality) reality]. And subtly, he guides us to ask ourselves: What is genuinely factual in all that we call Reality? Then, it makes us reflect on the symbiosis that creates itself and recreates itself between author and reader.-- I remember; therefore, you exist --you assured me.-- I remember; therefore, I live--I replied.-- Therefore, you and I exist at this moment.

Edel Romay has been enriched by his travels and friendships with literary and plastic artists as well as intellectuals in Mexico, Europe, the United States and South America. His oeuvre literary and plastic has been influenced by great philosophers, poets and scientists. A Brief Poesy, 1989-2004 invites us to look into the relationship within the brain and the cosmos, the word with being, reality with time. In other words, he challenges us to reflect upon what Martin Heidegger once declared: Language is the dwelling of the being. Moreover, Edel proposes the idea that without an observer, reality does not exist. Similarly, Romay encourages the internal dialog between I and You that reflects upon itself to construct a true I the symbiosis that exists between reader and author within the same person. You are the other that creates and recreates me when I am read, because without a You there is no I and vice versa. This in turn leads us to ponder in what the poet Octavio Paz asserted: The eyes speak, words look, looks think.
In two languages (Spanish and English) and in the mixture of both, Edel Romay wonders, What is real in what we agree to call reality? In his book, EL LENGUAJE IS DANCING: Brief Narratives of Thoughts Transitando, Edel invites us to reflect on the relationship of Brain and Mind, Art and Science, Flesh and Thought, Matter and Spirituality. For example, Science stipulates that the human body is composed of 3x 1036 inanimate particles. However, Humans, in general, possesses a soul. On the other hand, the Mind as the cosmos seems to be a mystery. Edel Romay raises the idea that “without an observer, reality does not exist.” And subtly, Romay leads us to ask ourselves, “What is real in what we call reality?”
