As Ivanhoe has attested, all of the information since shared with Justice Stewart is true, and there is more. As for those who would stand to win or lose with such information, there will be a day of reckoning. Legal remedies have worked their way up the ladder to reach the Supreme Court. At issue is what does the public have a right to know? You be the judge.

I photocopied pages out of various other books, but brought this one along intact. It stayed in my tankbag every day, was brought out at every meal, and was pored over in hotel rooms at night. I'm also a writer, and my Adventure Guide to the Alaska Highway became my de facto notebook on the trip--post-it notes of every color peek out from its pages; notes line the margins. There are a finite number of places to stop along the Alaska Highway; most guidebooks will give you pretty much all of them. What makes this one different is its tone. The authors obvious enjoy both the road and writing about it. Personal anecdotes are lightly sprinkled into the text, giving the impression that yes, the authors know what they're talking about. I learned little bits of history about the areas I rode through; not so much that it weighed down the book, but just enough to pique my interest and send me scampering to the library once I got back. Also, the book is laid out very well. Continue to take on new skills and acquire new knowledge that will enhance and stimulate the mind. Try to keep up with current events and be aware of how changes in government and community will affect you. When making decisions always try to make choices with which you can live. It's all right to take chances, but remember that you must live with the consequences. And remember that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes; but once we make a mistake, try not to repeat that same mistake again. An intelligent person learns from his/her mistakes. That is how we grow and gain self confidence.

It tells the story of building a championship tradition from a below average program that attracts five good coaches and their collision with a group of gifted athletes and it is told through the eyes of the citizens of the community in which it all takes place. The characters are as real as those in so many small towns and the interchanging of their attitudes and behaviors are comical at times. It illustrates how often smaller communities are identified by the public school's success in athletics and how much success can bring about new ideas and attract others to want and become a part of their success. It also shows what a challenge people from the outside have in being accepted and being understood, but when they are, all benefit from the experience. The question that is asked in this story is whether the next generation and a new staff can continue the tradition established, now that the "golden boys" have graduated and gone on to college. It is an amazing tribute to those who follow such an era and their struggles.

This is a documentary work offering a first-person account of a Union soldier's daily adversity while a prisoner of war from 20 September 1863 to 4 June 1865. In 1891, while a patient at the Leavenworth National Home, Irish immigrant Edward Glennan began to write down his experiences in vivid detail, describing the months of malnutrition, exposure, disease and self-doubt. The first six months Glennan was incarcerated at Libby and Danville prisons in Virginia. On 20 March 1864, Glennan entered Camp Sumter, located near Andersonville, Georgia. He reminisced about the events of his eight-month captivity at Andersonville, such as the hanging of the Raider Six, escape tunnels, gambling, trading, ration wagons, and disease. Afflicted with scurvy, Glennan nearly lost his ability to walk. To increase his chances for survival, he skillfully befriended other prisoners, sharing resources acquired through trade, theft and trickery. His friends left him either by parole or death. On 14 November 1864, Glennan was transported from Andersonville to Camp Parole in Maryland; there he remained until his discharge on 4 June 1865.

Electoral Shocks: The Volatile Voter in a Turbulent World offers a novel perspective on British elections, focusing on the role of electoral shocks in the context of increasing electoral volatility. It demonstrates and explains the long-term trend in volatility, how shocks have contributed to the level of electoral volatility, and also which parties have benefited from the ensuing volatility. It follows in the tradition of British Election Study books, providing a comprehensive account of specific election outcomes- the General Elections of 2015 and 2017-and a more general and novel approach to understanding electoral change. The authors examine five electoral shocks that affected the elections of 2015 and 2017: the rise in immigration after 2004, particularly from Eastern Europe; the Global Financial Crisis prior to 2010; the coalition government of the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats between 2010 and 2015; the Scottish Independence Referendum in 2014; and the European Union Referendum in 2016. The focus on electoral shocks offers an overarching explanation for the volatility in British elections, alongside the long-term trends that have led to this point. It offers a way to understand the rise and fall of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), Labour's disappointing 2015 performance and its later unexpected gains, the collapse in support for the Liberal Democrats, the dramatic gains of the Scottish National Party (SNP) in 2015, and the continuing period of tumultuous politics that has followed the EU referendum and the General Election of 2017. It provides a new way of understanding electoral choice in Britain, and also beyond, and a better understanding of the outcomes of recent elections.
