Despite numerous sources suggesting that Islamophobia is becoming both increasingly prevalent and societally acceptable in the contemporary world, there remains a lack of textual sources that consider either the phenomenon itself, or its manifestations and consequences. There is no authoritative text that attempts to understand or contextualise what might be seen to be one of the most dangerous prejudices in the contemporary climate. Chris Allen begins by looking at ways of defining and understanding Islamophobia. He traces its historical evolution to the present day, considering the impact of recent events and their aftermath especially in the wake of the events of September 11, before trying to understand and comprehend a wider conception of the phenomenon. A series of investigations thematically consider the role of the media, the contemporary positioning of Muslims throughout the world, and whether Islamophobia can be seen to be a continuum of historical anti-Muslimism or anti-Islamism, or whether Islamophobia is an entirely modern concept. The issue of Islamophobia is considered from the perspective of the local, regional, and global. The incidence of Islamophobia, and the magnitude of the phenomenon and its consequences, is one that warrants a greater investigation in the world today. This book is both academically and socially relevant and necessary.

This work provides an immense insight into the ideology and working of Indian Jamat-e-Islami, that was separated from the original Jamat after bifurcation of the Indian Sub-continent into two sovereign political units, viz., India and Pakistan. It became an important organisation of Muslim minorities in Hindu dominated Inida. Nevertheless, no serious attempt has been made so far to study such an important organisation from a scholastic outlook, while numerous studies, by western as well as Indian scholars, have been done on its Pakistani counterpart,
Maulana Maududi was an influential personality among Muslims of the World, in General and particularly among ht eiNdian Muslims. Many of the Western writers regards him as the rejuvenater of the Political Islam in twentieth century. many of them ascribed the present terrorism to him and his ideology, though it is yet to be proved. This work provides an immense insight into his political ideology, his vision of state as an instrument of social change, his coined term Theo-democracy, Form of Govt and relations among various organs of state in his proposal, his views on Fundamental Rights, status of Non-Muslims, his assigned role for Women in his proposed state whether she has to be segregated from the men's world or what?. all these questions are answered in this book.this work also analyse about his handi-work, Jamat -e Islami, that become a political force in Pakistan Politics and spread across borders. After the reader would be in a better position to judge him and his ideology impartially
The Muslim League, a party which championed the cause of Paksitan was set up on 28 December 1906 in Dhaka, with the following objectives: 1. To promote among Muslims a feeling of loyalty to the British government and to remove misunderstandings; 2. To protect and advance the political rights and interests of Muslims, and to represent properly their needs and aspirations to the British government; and 3. To prevent the rise of hostility among Muslims toward other communities. The Muslim League and the rulers of Pakistan, to date, have very sincerely served the British and the American interests in Pakistan and in the region. The bitter fact is that the landed aristocracy, the Generals and the security forces now control Pakistan and its destiny; and sad thing is even they dont know what is the destiny of this unfortunate country and how to reach there. When the British Raj ended in India on 15 August 1947, the State of Jammu and Kashmir also gained its independence. The Government of Pakistan acknowledged this fact by entering a Standstill Agreement with the Ruler of Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan violated the Agreement and attacked Jammu and Kashmir on 22 October 1947.
DESCRIPTION REVIEWS (0) "Dr Mahathir melihat pertentangan antara Islam dan Sosialisme.
. . . The meaning of the phrase “Islam is socialist in nature” merely acts as a categorisation into a particular system of society based on the features that characterise it as socialist. Those who are against Islam being considered as socialist either do not understand the meaning of certain words or want to uphold the current capitalist system. This book, by the preeminent Malaysian sociologist, Professor Dr Syed Hussein Alatas, is the translation of the Malay Islam dan Sosialisme (Petaling Jaya, Gerakbudaya, 2020), which first appeared in 1976 as Islam dan Sosialisma (Pulau Pinang, Seruan Masa). Despite its size, the book covers important and critical issues, including the relationship between religion and socialism, the different types of socialism, as well as the public’s unease about the similarities and differences between socialism and communism. Most importantly, Professor Alatas calls upon us to fight the injustices of capitalism. More than 40 years after its original publication, his ideas are still relevant today.

Malaysia is one of the few countries in the world with well-established health system that provide universal coverage of essential services to its citizen. The country is blessed with multi-ethnic societies rich with cultural heritage. Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) based on Malay, Chinese and Indian practice modalities have been in existence for more than a century. In 2006, the government of Malaysia took a bold step to formally integrate T&CM into the national health system of Malaysia. This book reports the outcome of a study conducted among health professionals in five major hospitals in Malaysia covering their knowledge, practical experience and attitudes toward T&CM. Four of the hospitals were integrated hospitals providing various modalities of T&CM to patients on regular basis. Qualitative and quantitative methods were employed in the study in order to obtain valid and reliable information from the respondents. Doctors, nurses and pharmacists practicing modern medicine in these five hospitals filled up self-administered questionnaires. The respondents were subsequently selected to participate in a more detail in-depth interviews. The book provides the best reference on the acceptance of T&CM in the modern health system that can be used as guide to policy makers in other parts of the world that plan to embark on the similar policies.
The greatest hope of all the religious groups that awaited for scores of centuries with a dogma of their own Holy Books which witnessed the glory and the majesty of that personality called as 'Muhammad' and 'Ahmad' – 'the Glorious' and 'the Praised', on whom be peace and lasting blessings, which certainly got fulfilled when he finally arrived on the stage of the history. The Scriptures of the Prophets that went before him ended their tasks by heralding the tiding of his coming. Despite the textual corruption of those ancient scriptures, the golden sayings were still preserved by ALLAH, the One True God as a signpost for the honest and noble readers. The seekers of truth! Be certain of the fact that Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was the promised Prophet and the awaited saviour whom the Jews called as the King Messiah. His coming was prophesied by all the Prophets like Moses and Jesus (Peace Be Upon Them) long before his arrival, and he was also mentioned in the Old and New Testaments. Likewise, the Far East Indian scriptures never failed to mention ‘his name and praises’ which certainly constitute a miracle pertaining to him and confirming his Prophethood. In the light of the above facts, how could a man of wisdom escape from this overwhelming thought? Or will he still deny this truth? Or will he still await and hope that from Heaven angels would come and guide him when the final Message has already been delivered by 'Muhammadur Rasul ALLAH' to the creation of ALLAH in general, on whom be peace and lasting blessings? Indeed, it is ALLAH, the Lord of the worlds Who Himself calls on us to acknowledge this truth in the Holy Quran: "O mankind! The Messenger (Muhammad, on whom be peace and lasting blessings) hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord. Therefore believe; (it is) better for you. But if ye disbelieve, still, lo! Unto ALLAH belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. ALLAH is ever Knower, Wise" - (4:170).
The relations between India and Pakistan have been strained right from the partition days and Jammu and Kashmir has always been the focus point of any discussion between the two countries. Many efforts have been made to normalise the relations, however, no tangible results have been forthcoming. Some hopes were seen during the tenure of Sheikh Abdullah as Chief Minister, however, the events took a downward turn after his death in 1982. The situation in J&K deteriorated and militancy took its roots across the state in a big way. Good governance is an integral part of any effective government. However, in a conflict situation and disturbed environment, where the lives and interests of ordinary people are under pressure, the issue of a functioning government becomes even more crucial. This is exactly where the governance system failed the people of the state when the trouble started. By the beginning of 1990, the administration in Srinagar and some other towns of the Valley had almost collapsed. Jammu and Kashmir has been struggling with the scourge of terrorism for three decades now. This has caused untold miseries to the people of the state; with thousands losing life and many more getting hurt. The turmoil has also resulted in huge losses to public and private properties. This book attempts a panoramic overview of the peace process, in different stages and phases over the past seven decades, between India and Pakistan from 1947 onwards; with special reference to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The author, having been involved in many of these processes very closely, has covered these details in most authentic and unbiased manner.

Excellence in service is needed in the Military Hospitals in Malaysia to ensure the best and the most effective services are delivered. One of the factors that contribute to the provision of excellent services is the presence of competent managers. In this book, we report the outcome of a study aimed to determine the level of service excellence among managers and the factors influencing it in five Military Hospitals under the Ministry of Defence, Malaysia. A cross sectional study was conducted using self-administered questionnaires distributed to Military and Non-Military managers with different demographic backgrounds and service characteristics. The questionnaires consist of six components: the background of the respondents; the level of service excellence; skills; knowledge of the Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS), leadership style, and organisational compliance. By using the Structural Equation Model, findings of the study showed that all independent variables, i.e., skills, knowledge on BOS, leadership style and organisational compliance are significantly related to service excellence. Using Stepwise Multiple Linear Regression, it was discovered that managers in the lower grades, as well as Non-Military managers, demonstrated significant service excellence. In conclusion, the service excellence of managers in Military Hospitals is strongly influenced by their competencies. Military Hospitals administration should focus into the needs for training and suitable courses for Military managers in senior position to enhance their competencies.
This book outlines the use of the casemix system as a provider payment tool in the health system with special focus on cost of pharmacy services of in-patient care. Casemix system, which is traditionally called Diagnosis Related Groups or DRG in more advanced economies, is now being implemented in many developing countries that plan to or have embarked on social health insurance programs as a source of the health funding. Extensive research has been carried out by the authors involving 13,673 patients that were prescribed with 111,794 items of drugs and admitted to one of the premier teaching hospital in Malaysia. Data from this research was vigorously analysed to impute the pharmacy service weights of all relevant casemix groups. This book provides the best reference for pharmacy service weights that can be used as a guide for effective implementation of the casemix system in any country in the world that plans to use the system.

Centuries ago, the roaring sea was the only answer for the quest of the new. Voyages made landscapes and people. Each expedition constructed a new history of land and new versions of cultures. Some took the yoke of imperialism through these sea routes; some a mission of knowledge and cultural symbiosis. Arab Geographers’ Knowledge of Southern India is a construction of India from the narratives of famous Arab travelers. A fresh perception on the land of many cultures and some iconic navigators whose mission it was to pollinate knowledge and culture.
The Great Reformer is the English translation of Mujaddid-e-Azam, a comprehensive biography of the Mujjadid (Reformer in Islam) and Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad by a close associate and compatriot, Dr. Basharat Ahmad. This monumental research work published in Urdu in three volumes was translated into English in 2008 by Hamid Rahman, PhD. The first two volumes, published in 1939 and 1940 respectively, consist of the Founder's life history, and also contain synopsis of each of his major Urdu, Arabic and Persian works. The third volume deals with his Islamic philosophy, thoughts, exposition of Islamic concepts, defense of Islam in reply to non-Muslim critics, and his mission of carrying the message of Islam to the West.
Stolen Stripes and Broken Medals is a true account of the life of a Pakistani naval officer who despite reaching the star ranks and with impeccable record of service had to prematurely say good bye to his long military career. In fact those achievements created enemies who ultimately staged the fatal conspiracy when he was at the pinnacle of his career and was just about to get his second star. The title of this book reflects as to how his hard earned stripes were stolen and his medals broken by no one other than the top brass of the Navy since he had refused to tell a lie to safeguard their personal interests. This book tells the story of his long naval career which was full of adventures, challenges, and achievements and of course the due recognition which he had earned through sheer hard work and dedication to the service. This is an eye opening account for those who want to see as to what happens to those who are upright and honest but without any backing in a country like Pakistan. It also reflects on what happens behind the close doors of the top leadership in the Armed Forces, who are trusted with nations sacred duty. It is for the first time that someone has taken such a bold step to touch the untouchable, apprising his nation and those in the helm of affairs, expecting some positive outcome.
There are two main causes of Infertility: Decreased Oxygen Utilization and Jinn (Demon). When the environment or body has too many Positive Ions, the result is Decreased Oxygen Utilization. Positive Ions are produced by the manmade atmosphere, and they increase the acidity and inflammation in the body. These Positive Ions can affect the body in numerous ways, including decreased fertility. Many times, medicine cannot solve the problem—what people must do is to expose themselves to the Negative Ions. Dr. Mira Bajirova, an Associate Professor, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, and In Vitro Fertilization Consultant from Paris, explores what this means to those suffering from Infertility. She also highlights how Evil Jinn—through Jinn Possession, Black Magic and Evil Eye—can lead to disastrous consequences including the Infertility. Filled with insights from the Quran and medicine, this is an informative guide for anyone seeking to improve their health and expand their family.
This book is about the history of the conflict between Shia sects, how different sects originated and what are the basic beliefs of world known Usuli Shia sect i.e. State religion of Iran, and how it differs from the True Shia religion. Usuli sect was founded only 10 centuries ago, and only 5 or 6 so-called Shia scholars accepted it in 4th and 5th Hijra century. After that for many centuries Shia scholars and public hated this man-made religion. Only few centuries ago Allama Hilli and his company propagated it again, and he was the first to call himself Ayatollah (which is forbidden in Islam). Baqir Behbahani used power and all other tactics to suppress the Shia religion and occupied shia institutions and mosques, so Usuli sect dominated. What are the true teachings of Shia Islam. The religion presented and practiced by Iranian government is not the Tru Shia Islam, infact they are the biggest enemies of Allah, Infallibles asws and Muslims.

Aṣ-Ṣalāt is mentioned ninety four times in the Holy Qurān, Zakat thirty two times, Fasting and Ḥajj eleven times each. The Holy Apostle started observing it at the age of forty years under the tutelage of angel Jibrīlu (Gabriel). He spent the rest of his life teaching and demonstrating how to observe it. He stressed its importance in his last sermon. You start at the age of seven years and spend the rest of your life observing it. It is the first article of Faith to be examined in the Hereafter and anyone who did not observe it as observed by the Holy Apostle is doomed. No other act of worship will be examined. ‘Umar ibn Khaṭṭab said, “Judge yourself before you are judged and weigh your actions before they are weighed.” This book is a reminder, describing in minutest details the Sunnah of the Holy Apostle during the obligatory prayers and the warning and advice of ‘Umar ibn Khaṭṭab. Allah bears witness: I have reminded the Muslims of this generation their lapses. Based on the Sīra, fiqh of ‘Umar bin Khaṯṯāb (R.A) and the contemporary mistakes of the Muslims
Diving deep into the saga of 1,000 years of painful slavery and excruciating humiliation, India, a country with mindboggling resources and riches was heroically freed from the clutches of her last invader, the mighty British rulers. Despite being subjected to foreign rulers for thousands of years, India’s pristine cultural identity and uniqueness of civilization remained intact. The political partnership among Indian leaders was so prolific that it outshined the acumen of British leaders in every single aspect. The audacity of Winston Churchill to keep India a permanent slave of the British Raj and his hateful condemnation of giving India its political freedom as a shameful flight was decisively defeated by the strong political acumen of Indian leaders. Barrister Jinnah was a crack in the wall as he was hell-bent on his demand for a separate Pakistan of Muslims. India was asking for independence as a united India but the British divided it into two different nations thereby creating permanent enmity between them with the hope of invading these fragile states one more time. Till his last breath, Mahatma Gandhi fought for Hindu-Muslim unity and undivided India. His preaching for non-violence, universal brotherhood, and tolerance became the universal truth and panacea for present-day problems of the modern world.
The Ahmadiyya Case of South Africa is an account of the litigation in Cape Town between Muslims of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement and local Sunni Muslim religious bodies which ended in November 1985 with the court judgment declaring the Lahore Ahmadiyya to be Muslims. The case was instituted by Lahore Ahmadiyya members as they were being defamed as unbelievers and apostates by the local anti-Ahmadiyya Ulama and denied their religious rights as Muslims. During the litigation the anti-Ahmadiyya parties, the defendants, had the support of the topmost theological and legal experts from Pakistan where the Ahmadiyya are officially branded as non-Muslims by law. But the defendants and their expert witnesses never had the intention of appearing in court as their false propaganda could never succeed in a fair and impartial forum. This book contains a history of the case and reactions to the judgment. It reproduces the text of the judgment, and consists mostly of the extensive documentary evidence submitted by the Lahore Ahmadiyya side, prepared by Maulana Hafiz Sher Mohammad and translated into English by Zahid Aziz.
