Forests being the lungs of planet Earth are the most important ecosystems. They act as carbon sinks and sustain a huge amount of carbon in them. They play an extremely important role for the survival of the living beings on this earth. From human beings to the flora and fauna of the earth’s ecosystem depend on the forests in some way or the other. Forests are the repositories of enormous biodiversity on this planet. They are an adobe to millions of species of animals including human beings, plants and microorganisms. They also give massive ecosystem services to mankind and to all the living beings thriving on this earth. They regulate climate, water cycles and carbon sequestering on this planet. They even provide a livelihood to human beings all over the world. They check global warming on this earth. The parameter of sustainable development is that forest and biodiversity is conserved for the coming generations also. Forests are the most important repositories of terrestrial biological diversity. The diversity of life amongst the living beings and their distinct habitats, the interactions between the various components of the biodiversity makes this planet a habitable place for various life forms. Forest conservation is extremely important for intergenerational equity and the principle of sustainable development paves the way. The forests especially in the domains of forestry and agriculture provide 40% of the world’s economy. This is due to the biological diversity in the forest ecosystems. 70% of the world’s poor populace who live in rural areas is directly dependent on biodiversity for their livelihood. A rough estimate of 60 million indigenous folks are somehow reliant on forests for their daily needs. The Supreme Court of India in Rural Litigation and Entitlement Kendra v. State of Uttar Pradesh elucidated the importance of ecosystem services as provided by the forests.

Surviving the stormy seas, the attacks from the sea pirates, the attacks of the wild animals, the barbaric attacks from the natives of the then uncivilized dark country, through sheer determination, they settled down, trained the natives to the civilized ways and prospered. Sometimes a single Indian opened his shop in the untrodden upcountry, attracted and taught the ways of the world to the native people who were like unplowed earth. The author was born and brought up in Tanzania, taught at a girl’s school and is an eyewitness of the development of the country. She remembers how during the Second World War the German East Africa was attacked and captured by the British renaming it the British East Africa. The stories in the book are authentic and told either by surviving early emigrants or their family members. The author interviewed them and collected the stories during her visits to Dar-es-Salaam.

The vegetables are important sources of essential vitamins and minerals needed for human system. They have roughage in sufficient qualities, low protein and fat contents, but carbohydrates, vitamin A, C, E and minerals like P, Ca, Fe, Mg and K are in plenty and they rank next to cereals as source of carbohydrates (Singh et al., 2005). Many vegetables of different category like root vegetables, stem vegetables, leafy vegetables fruit vegetables and cole vegetables are cultivated in the Marathwada region of the Maharashtra State. In the Maharashtra particularly in the Nanded district of the Marathwada region the vegetables like Carrot (Daucus carota L.), Radish (Raphanus sativus L.), Onion (Allium cepa L.), Methi (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.), Palak (Spinacia oleracea L.), Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.), Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.), Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) and Bhendi (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) etc.

His concept of democratic education is the basis for the development of learner centered teaching. Similarly, psychologists of different periods developed the concept of learner centered teaching. Thus, in today's world, learner centered teaching has become a subject of interest and study for everyone. The concept of learner centered teaching, which has become the subject of everyone's interest and interest, has been incorporated in this book that everyone can understand. In this book, the definition and concept of learner centered teaching has been presented with great effort. On the other hand, the major philosophical, historical, and psychological foundations of learner-centered teaching have also been presented. Therefore, this book is believed to be able to fulfill many questions of the readers regarding the concept of learner-centered teaching.
