A sound knowledge of head and neck anatomy is essential for the safe and effective practice of clinical dentistry, and much clinically relevant and important anatomy can be learned by examining the living subject in conjunction with radiological images, especially those using CT reconstruction. This book bridges the gap between ‘textbook’ topographical anatomy and the anatomy of the living subject, as experienced in clinical practice. With detailed instructions on how to locate and examine anatomical structures, this practical guide encourages students to work together in small groups, examining each other and themselves as living models. As they progress through the book, students will become more confident about correlating living and radiological examination. The radiographic content utilises the latest forms of imaging and is intended to complement, where relevant, the topographical features in the living subject. Contents include: • Practical tips on head and neck examination • Bony landmarks • Testing the cranial nerves • Examining the buccal cavity and oropharynx • Examining the arterial pulses, salivary glands and lymph nodes • The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the muscles of mastication • Neck landmarks • Joints and movements of the head and neck • The scalp, ear and eye
The rehabilitation of any structure is necessary, if the potential strength, as on the date, of the structural element or the global strength, found less than proposed, thereby reducing the factor of safety. The reduction in factor of safety alarms the danger signal during the event of disaster especially like earthquake. The ageing of the admixtures of the building components, environmental effects on the materials, repeated excessive or the change in the stresses reduces the strength. The change of use causing undesired change in nature and or of quantity of loading, change made in seismic zone, by national bodies, are the other factors that contribute in reduction of potential strength of the building.

In this book, Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury presents evidence of a cure for incurable diseases such as Type-1 Diabetes, thalassemia, and chronic kidney diseases. What currently hinders the dissemination of his curative methods to patients is a law known as the "Drug & Magic Remedy Act," which assumes that the mentioned diseases are not curable and seeks to prevent or prosecute any attempts to provide a cure. Are the health authorities blinded by this law or influenced by the health/pharmaceutical industry, which stands to lose if Dr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury's cure becomes known to mankind? The author hopes that this book will directly connect him to the patients who need his innovations the most.
