This work surveys Edwin Dickinson's life and career, both of which revolved around Cape Cod, Buffalo, and New York's Finger Lakes region. It covers the artist's influential career as a teacher, and analyzes Dickinson's self-portraits and major symbolic paintings.

This monograph features the work of Douglas Bourgeois, a figurative artist whose meticulously detailed paintings and sculptural assemblages present icons of popular culture as well as ordinary people from Louisiana's diverse populations. Bourgeois' work often portrays religious imagery and environmental concerns and the political issues expressed in the rock and roll and movies he loves. He fuses private fantasy with a kind a social document, exploring everything from racial tensions to violence, both domestic and public. The first comprehensive survey of the influential Argentinean artist's work to be published in the United States in over ten years, this volume comprises more than 50 canvases and more than 25 works on paper, spanning 25 years of Kuitca's career. Published concurrently with a major traveling exhibition, it features many previously unpublished works and series. Kuitca is most known for his delicate abstractions based on maps and architectural plans, which explore psychological dislocation and the intersection of public and private spaces. Also featured are many of Kuitca's drawings, a previously unexplored aspect of his work, that significantly influenced his approach to painting.
