In the first pages of my book, there you will find my testimony and how the messages came about. My Testimony I've been a Christian for over twenty-five years, visited other churches and participated in praise and worship. I am a member of Trinity Assembly of God and serves in many capacities including serving as a board member, helping others in need, also giving time and personal finances and possessions to those less fortunate than myself, attending church services sitting quietly in the pew three times a week or more during times of revival. I have worked about thirty to forty years cleaning houses, offices, churches, and funeral homes. After retirement, I started having breathing problems around home and decided to see my doctor. One visit lead to a referral to other doctors and a lot of tests. After all the tests, the diagnosis was restricted lung disease which means my lungs don't produce oxygen for the actions of my body. I am now on oxygen 24/7. After some research online, I discovered there is no cure or medicine that will heal me other than a lung transplant or a miracle. I'm praying for that miracle. Like any life-threatening disease, the actual effects didn't sink in until one night while lying in bed trying to go to sleep; I was praying and crying out to the Lord. I was asking him, "If I take my last breath tonight and come to heaven, what would you say to me?" The Lord said, "I know you not." But I reminded the Lord of all the good things I had done in his name, all the people I had personally helped even taking money from my wallet to give to others. I said, "Lord, I've helped people to pay their utilities bills. Lord, you knew me before I was born." Again he said, "I know you not." I was devastated and hurt. The next morning when I looked in the dictionary for the meaning of to know, I found three meanings. Everyone understands what the word means. What the Lord wanted me to understand is this: All the years of reading and studying the Holy Bible, I knew of him, about him, but did not know him. So this is why he said he didn't know me because I didn't have a relationship with him. So deciding to rectify the situation, I decided to start spending time with the Lord. Every morning for the last three years, I have been spending quality time with the Lord in worship, devotions, prayer, and Bible study. Then the Lord started giving me messages for all people. At first, they were sentences and then paragraphs and finally entire messages. The Lord has been gracious enough to give me hundreds of messages and warnings for his people. I've learned from all the messages that the main point the Lord wanted from his people is for them to get and develop a closer relationship with him in these last days. Also, some of the messages are meant to teach and help individuals to live a righteous life in these perilous times. He is concerned for those that are lost. The World of Ruth Draper: A Portrait of an Actress captures the life of the internationally acclaimed monologist and the familial, social, and theatrical worlds in which she lived from the late nineteenth century to the mid-1950s. Dorothy Warren draws on correspondence with family and friends, theatrical reviews, personal interviews, and her own long relationship with Ruth Draper in crafting this biography. Born in New York City in 1884, Ruth Draper began giving monologues at private parties and schools at the age of twenty-six and made her professional debut in 1920 at London's AEolian Hall. In charting the course of Draper's impressive career, Warren follows her performances on stages around the world, including private recitals for Sarah Bernhardt, Eleonora Duse, and the royal families of Britain, Spain, and Belgium. Warren also devotes a significant discussion to Draper's relationship with Lauro de Bosis, the Italian poet and political activist whose 1931 disappearance while dropping anti-Fascist pamphlets over Rome remains unexplained. Draper's long stage reign ended when she died in her sleep following a performance in New York City in December 1956. Ruth Draper's specialty was the monologue, a dramatic composition for a single performer evoking other characters upon the stage. She had in her repertoire sixty dramatic sketches featuring fifty-two characters whom she performed, as well as 316 others whom she evoked during the course of the sketches. Some of her better-known sketches were Opening the Bazaar, Vive la France -- 1940, The Scottish Immigrant, The Actress, and In County Kerry. Draper's unique quality was her ability to project an illusion, to evoke upon the stagethe characters with whom she conversed and interacted. Lynn Fontanne said of this faculty of Draper's: "There is the flavor of parlor magic in it -- something of conjuring". Bernard Levin, writing in the Times of London on April 4, 1988, recalls Draper's talent for evocation as "truly hallucinating" and adds, "Before the curtain came down, real hallucination had set in and we could see on the stage a crowd of people who were not there!" Eleonora Duse declared, "Ruth Draper is theater". The World of Ruth Draper features twenty-three illustrations.

The articles collected and reprinted here appeared originally in the pages of Hesperia. "Two Centuries of Hellenistic Pottery," by Homer A. Thompson, presented in 1934 some of the pottery found in the early excavations of the American School in the Athenian Agora. The series titled "Three Centuries of Hellenistic Terracottas," by Dorothy B. Thompson, includes ten articles that were published between 1952 and 1966. The working chronology that the authors established has made these studies basic references for investigations of Attic pottery and terracottas of the Hellenistic period, wherever found. In recognition of subsequent discoveries, the Thompsons' work has now been augmented by a preface with bibliography for each, prepared by Susan I. Rotroff, which comments particularly on the changes in chronology resulting from the continuing excavations in the Agora and elsewhere. In "Afterthoughts" Dorothy Thompson has made new observations concerning certain terracottas.

The book won the British Psychological Society book award in 1999, and is now widely seen as a classic in the field of developmental language disorders. Uncommon Understanding provides a comprehensive account of the process of comprehension, from the reception of an acoustic signal, to the interpretation of communicative intentions, and integrates a vast field of research on language acquisition, psycholinguistics and neuropsychology. In the new introduction Dorothy Bishop reflects on the organization of the book, and developments in the field since the book was first published. A major theme in the book is that comprehension should not be viewed as a unitary skill – to understand spoken language one needs the ability to classify incoming speech sounds, to relate them to a "mental lexicon," to interpret the propositions encoded by word order and grammatical inflections, and to use information from the environmental and social context to grasp an intended meaning. Another important theme is that although neuropsychological and experimental research on adult comprehension provides useful concepts and methods for assessing comprehension, it should be applied with caution, because a sequential, bottom-up information processing model of comprehension is ill-suited to the developmental context. Although the main focus of the book is on research and theory, rather than practical matters of assessment and intervention, the theoretical framework presented in the book will continue to help clinicians develop a clearer understanding of what comprehension involves, and how different types of difficulty may be pin-pointed.

As part of the overall growing interest in the rehabilitation of people with mental illness in the 1980s, therapy through drama was being seen increasingly as a significant aspect of therapeutic programmes. While the subject of remedial drama for people with disabilities was reasonably well documented, originally published in 1983, this was the first book to address the topic applied to psychiatric patients (or clients). The book is intended to be practical throughout and keeps jargon to a minimum. It is not written for professional or student dramatherapists alone, but is aimed as much at occupational therapists, nurses, social workers, psychiatrists and psychologists who are all involved in rehabilitation of people with mental illness. Topics discussed include referral by the psychiatrist, and general and specific approaches to dramatherapy. In addition, practical application is given to particular groups such as elderly people and those with schizophrenia.
Between the Civil War and World War II, Catholic charities evolved from volunteer and local origins into a centralized and professionally trained workforce that played a prominent role in the development of American welfare. In Christians and Pagans in Roman Britain, first published in 1991, Professor Dorothy Watts sets out to distinguish possible Pagan features in Romano-British Christianity in the period leading up to and immediately following the withdrawal of Roman forces in AD 410. Watts argues that British Christianity at the time contained many Pagan influences, suggesting that the former, although it had been present in the British Isles for some two centuries, was not nearly as firmly established as in other parts of the Empire.
