Everyone who is so obsessed with finding a quick fix to losing weight is seriously missing the mark. What they need to understand is why they gained weight in the first place. That is the key to understanding how to lose weight and more importantly, how to keep the weight from coming back. Considering my knowledge of holistic health and nutrition, I have been seriously disappointed in the dozens of popular diet book I have read. None of them have addressed the most critical component of weight loss, which is understanding why you are overweight to begin with. You can certainly lose weight by cutting calories and carbs, but that does not translate to permanent weight loss because the minute you stop the diet, you gain the weight right back. Thats insane. You need to be physiologically capable of losing weight in order to maintain your weight loss. Thats the whole ball game. And that is what is missing in all the diet books I have read.
