Yogic asana and pranayama have been developed in such a way that they work on multiple aspects at once. The asanas realign the muscles of the body to their correct position, improve digestion and the hormonal balance. The breath and our attention to the breath and body remove the mental dullness and the emotional toxicity that collects in the body and mind. Once the body is in a good state while awake, it is active, productive and lively. Consequently, a day well spent leads to a night well rested – sleep automatically becomes deep and peaceful and rhythmic. This book is a record of an actual session from my Yoga Studio, and since it is so easy, practical, quick and beneficial, I thought to share it with you all.
This book describes the journey of the author to ancient Temples and the ancient sites like the Pyramids in Egypt. Accompanied by pictures this book acts like a personal diary. My trip to Egypt was beautiful and one of the best things that ever happened to me. The purpose of writing this book has been to give the readers a small picture of what to expect in Egypt and I hope you find at least one moment of joy while reading this. Luxor and Aswan constitute the ancient Egypt with all the temples. Dahab is famous all over the world for its beaches, scuba diving and the Blue Lagoon. Siwa is a famous desert camping spot. In short, Egypt has a lot to offer besides the Pyramids. You can cruise up the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. You can travel across Egypt from Cairo to Aswan in a bus and see indescribable scenes. The ancient wonder with the new grandeur lulls you slowly in its charm and before you know it you have fallen in love with the old sands of Egypt.
The human body is a machine with a complexity beyond anything we have ever seen or built. Even after millions of years, we are yet to understand it completely. Bones, muscles, fluids, organs, and other innumerable components keep this one organism in a sustainable working state that requires little voluntary effort. In the early times, when Homo-sapiens were still hunters, there was no time or the need to develop any kind of special techniques to keep the body in an optimum condition. Either one survived and created stronger off-springs, or one was devoured by some animal or the environment. Hunting, creating spaces to sleep safely. Doing everything oneself gave the body a strength that is unmatched by people who have lived in the last 500 years in the changing world. Even today one can observe the "superhuman" strength and skill in tribal people that have not changed their ways for millennia. The Seers realized that the body and mind are deeply interconnected, and when they are in harmony, life is pleasant and powerful. The scientists developed techniques to achieve harmony between the mind and nature. Hence, Yoga was born, the technology to bring harmony between Body, Mind and Nature. In the earlier times, control on breath and sensory organs were taught to the students because the food was always seasonal and freshly cooked, there were few distractions, and the regular routine of life provided more than enough exercise to the body. Bodies were strong and flexible, and minds were alert. Asanas came into vogue as life became more and more placid and the body started deteriorating.
