A killer is on the loose who knows far too much about unsolved old murders, but this person is also giving grieving families the long overdue closure they need. Homicide Detective Philip Rose has a dark past that he is trying to forget. When he receives a call to a residential location, the family there has received a video tape telling the whereabouts of their daughter, who has been missing for six months. The tape reveals a man tied to a chair who tells the story of the abduction, the murder of the little girl, and the location of the body. At the conclusion of the tape, another man walks from the shadows bearing a sword. With one thrust, the confessed murderer is decapitated. The figure from the shadows looks into the camera lens and says, “Your prayers have been answered.” Although the story seems like a hoax, Philip is obligated to investigate. To the detective’s horror, the girl’s body is found in the exact location that was on the tape. An investigation shows that the fingerprints on the tape belong to Samuel Miller. Philip soon finds that Samuel Miller died six months prior to the tape being made. More videos start coming to other families with missing persons, and every piece of evidence links Samuel Miller to the crimes. Detective Rose gets a warrant to open Samuel Miller’s casket, only to find that the body is missing.

Kyle’s best friend had a history of womanizing but had never taken it to this extreme before. It took one small squeeze and one bullet to put the animal down. More murders and crimes begin to arise in Kyle’s town. The evidence in these crimes point directly to Kyle’s involvement, but he has no recollection of having a hand in any of them. The time frames of these crimes pinpoint moments of blankness in Kyle’s mind. He can’t recall committing such crimes, but on the other hand, he can’t remember what he was doing at the time of these crimes. Kyle finds himself drifting further and further from reality as his brain tries to ponder how he could not recall a single moment of any of the crimes he allegedly committed. He realizes that his mind only becomes clear when he is with Valerie. As the police close in on Kyle, he finds that he is on the run for his life, and only his love can save him, but how willing is Valerie to forgive him for the evil that he unleashed on the world?

Hanserd Knollys (1609–91) was a godly pastor/leader and prolific writer among the early Calvinistic Baptists of the seventeenth century. His life and ministry demonstrated a heart for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Despite imprisonment and persecution, he preached the gospel continuously and asked nonbelievers to “open the door” of their hearts to Christ. As for believers, he exhorted them to worship God “in spirit and truth,” live holy lives in both “the form and power of godliness,” and prepare and watch for the imminent second coming of Christ. As his friend Thomas Harrison said, “He was a Preacher out of the Pulpit as well as in it.” It is hoped that this summary of his life and timeless message will spur believers to reach the world with the gospel.

Not only does he have to watch his back from the public, he has his own kind to fear. Most cops fit into three categories; The honest hard working one who wants to further his education and be a professional; the bum who got his job because he knew someone and doesnt have to work if he doesnt want to, and last but not least; the ones who prefer to run their badge through your credit card machine, rather than pay the bill. This is a book about all of the above. Though many of the activities are funny, they sometimes created situations where someone could have gotten seriously hurt. For those of you still in law enforcement, I can only hope that my 35 years within its realm can help someone, somewhere, somehow. Enjoy this prose account of life in the crosshairs of the street thugs and drunk drivers. This book is both informative, funny and for mature audiences.
