Invasive skull based surgery followed by years of painful and debilitating reconstruction of my face resulting in severe bouts of depression. From the depth of despair, I discover the value of life. I learn that the face we show the world is of minor importance. True friends and caring people see below this surface. Face Values shows how inner strengh, together with the right attitude, can triumph over the spectre of other people's reactions and the deep dark holes of depression. We draw our strengh from lifetime experiences. Mine came from a primitive childhood in outback Queensland and was nurtured by personal traumas including the death of two children while fighting to establish and maintain a successful business career.
