Darren Sarisky proposes that it requires identification of the reader via a theological anthropology; an understanding of the text as a collection of signs; and reading the text with a view toward engaging with what it says of transcendence. This is to also highlight the effort that was required by the grieving parents in order to learn why such a tragedy occurred, what could have been done to prevent it and to have someone admit fault.
