A reflection of God using this colt to show His awesome presence in the daily life of two trainers, two jockeys, an owner, and myself. (What I was to this colt is still an unknown to me, yet the lessons I learned from this experience were, are, and always will be a blessing to me.)This is a story about a dark bay colt named Pluie's Stock by Pluie's Sylvester and about how God used him to uncover truths about Himself. Pluie is a plain but honest horse. He does not have a valuable pedigree, as you can see from his sire, a son of Verbatim. His breeding fame is linked to his dam, an unaccomplished daughter by Key to the Mint, the winner of the racing's hallowed Eclipse Award, American champion, three-year-old male (1972). Pluie, however, did not yet have racing credentials of significance himself. When he arrived in Texas, Pluie had a 0 for 6 race record, his best effort being a second-place finish going a mile.Racing in Faith is also a story about forgiveness and restoration when two friends, caught off guard from what was supposed to be a blessed event that turned into one of agony.
