As the spirit world supersede the physical, so is the spiritual effect of tongue goes beyond the physical structure of it. Yes, there is power in the tongue, your tongue is so powerful that it can improve or destroy your entire life. A lot of people ended their life in the prison yard because of the way they use their tongue, despite the fact that they are innocent. Many people passed to the great beyond untimely, because of the use of the tongue. Employment seekers fail interview because of the way they use their tongue. The tongue is so powerful that it can destroy a whole nation; it can cause war in between two countries. According to the book of Ephesians. 4:29: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen: The tongue has the capacity to determine what you become and you will not. God, the Almighty Creator of all things, understood the potent weapon called tongue this by placing tongue in a “double jail”: the lips and the teeth. The only way the tongue exhibit its potency is through spoken word. Have you ever wondered why God kept tongue in such prison? I feel it simply because He wants the individual to be responsible for the use of his or her tongue. Lest one say, I never knew when I said such. Therefore, every man is responsible for letting the tongue out of “the double prisons.” When you take time to look at the story of creation, the world we see and all the beautiful things that are in it were created by the spoken word of the Almighty. Hence, you will understand the power given to the instrument or tool through which words are spoken. As I have stated earlier, the tongue is deeply connected to the human heart. Your tongue is just a faithful representative of your heart. Your tongue is “the painter” which gives the picture of the state of your heart. Where you are and where you will reach in life are both functions of how you use your tongue. Have you ever desired to change your status? Perhaps you have been wondering how you can get out of that predicament, and you are wondering where to start. You need not look far, start by watching the use of your tongue. Your status is as good as the way you use your tongue. Of course, I admit that it’s difficult for a natural man to put in check the use of the tongue. This is due to his state of heart. Be that as it may, if you will ever see any improvement or advancement, it is high time you started changing your vocabularies. Form negativity to positive words. From the story of woes to good news. From murmuring to giving thanks, from cursing to blessing. Though, many people through ignorance carelessly use this lethal weapon and thereby limit themselves and destiny of people around them. While it is generally acknowledged that Russia’s culture has been influenced by France, the present study goes beyond the Francophile preferences of the noble elite and examines Russian society more broadly, exploring those elements of French cultural influence that are still relevant today. This is done through an historical analysis of French loanwords in the Russian language from the time of Peter the Great to the present. The result of this lexical analysis and subsequent study of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century archival, periodical, and memoir material is to empirically link Russia’s present culture to two major Franco-Russian events: the wave of immigration to Russia following the French Revolution and Russia’s war with Napoleon. This is primarily a book for those interested in European history, particularly imperial Russia, the French Revolution, and the Napoleonic Wars. The study of Russian officer memoirs includes original campaign maps, which may be of interest to military historians. These are questions this book answers as the authors narrate the development combat historian and the evolving role of combat historians as they develop history into a useful tool for informing training, operations, and doctrine development."—New York Journal of Books In World War I, Major General Pershing proposed the idea of establishing a historical office within the AEF headquarters. The War Department reorganized the General Staff to include a Historical Branch. Evidence shows that soldiers acting as historians went "down range," albeit not into combat. By World War II, the situation had changed—whether S.L.A. Marshall's popping out of a billet in Sibret as a shells exploded on the road; Forrest Pogue's typing "on a little camp desk under an apple tree;" Chester Starr's terrain reconnaissance in the Mediterranean theater, or Ken Hechler's command of a four-man historical team interviewing soldiers at the Remagen Bridge and searching through secret documents—the World War II combat historians were there behind and on the front lines with a notebook in one hand and their carbine in the other hand, ever ready to collect battlefield information. Eight historical service detachments were deployed to Korea. The youngest commander, 1st Lieutenant Bevin Alexander, noted "We were on the front lines the whole time . . . We would interview the people afterwards and create a battle study…." After the Korean War, the duties of the combat historian further evolved as what became the Center of Military History published doctrine about military history detachments (MHDs). As America’s immersion in Vietnam escalated, there was concern regarding historical coverage. Chief of Military History Brigadier General Hal Pattison established a network of historical teams to collect information on the U.S Army in the war. A major development in the history program and in deploying MHDs came with the establishment of Headquarters, U.S. Army Vietnam (USARV) under General William C. Westmoreland’s command. In 1965, the history office was organized at Headquarters, U.S. Army Vietnam (USARV). MHDs were deployed across Vietnam, conducting combat after action interviews, and collecting documents. This study focuses on U.S. Army historical programs during combat operations from World War I to the Vietnam War with particular attention on the combat historians, those individuals deployed to a theater of war with the mission of documenting the actions of that theater for current and future historical use.

Confronting American Labor traces the development of the American left, from the Depression era through the Cold War, by examining four representative intellectuals who grappled with the difficult question of labor's role in society. Since the time of Marx, leftists have raised over and over the question of how an intelligentsia might participate in a movement carried out by the working class. Their modus operandi was to champion those who suffered injustice at the hands of the powerful. From the late nineteenth through much of the twentieth century, this meant a focus on the industrial worker. The Great Depression was a time of remarkable consensus among leftist intellectuals, who often interpreted worker militancy as the harbinger of impending radical change. While most Americans waited out the crisis, listening to the assurances of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Marxian left was convinced that the crisis was systemic. Intellectuals who came of age during the Depression developed the view that the labor movement in America was to be the organizing base for a proletariat. Moreover, many came from working-class backgrounds that contributed to their support of labor.
