Explores substance use among women in pregnancy; use of drug treatment services; characteristics of women who did not receive needed drug treatment; & involvement in criminal activities by female substance users. Presents detailed information on illicit drug use and heavy alcohol use among full-time U.S. workers. Shows the percentage of full-time workers, ages 18-49, who reported illicit drug and heavy alcohol use, by specific occupation and industry categories. Presents information on trends in prevalence over time, employee drug testing, absence from work, and prevalence among part-time workers. Also: information on employment, age, race-ethnicity, marital status, health status, and problems associated with use. The employment data includes current status (e.g., full-time or part-time employees), detailed occupation and industry classifications, work history, and drug testing at work. Tables.
