A wise old Irish woman, a homeless Irish wolfhound pup and a lonely little girl with green eyes and brown hair take on the world in this tale of love between a special-needs dog named Chance and the little girl who is willing to give up everything to save him. Day after day C.J. sits on the rock cut in front of the pale yellow house with green trim at the edge of the great forest watching the cars go by. As she sits, she dreams of finding a special someone of her own so she won't have to play alone. One day a circus truck pulling a prancing-pony carousel passes by the lonely little girl sitting on the rock cut. With the pure hearted resolve known only to the very young or truly aged, C.J. casts her wish for someone special into the heart of the prancing pony carousel. Then she waits. Her Nana Jean in far off Ireland tells C.J. the only way such dreams come true is to believe with all your heart in the things the human eye can not see. And so she does. One night in the midst of a whirling snow storm, a homeless Irish wolfhound pup ends up at the door of the pale yellow house with green trim at the edge of the great forest and two hearts entwine to beat as one. As events unfold, C.J.'s parents can not see the love between these two friends is meant to be. So, C.J. and Chance, with the help of Nana Jean, a kindly vet, and a man with a wooden leg, must fight for the right to stay together in a world that has forgotten how to have the heart to simply 'Believe'.
