This project investigates the following questions about How Much Money Do You Have?, a computer-assisted instructional software created by the researcher: Can the software increase the students' knowledge in mathematics and benefit children in the educational setting? Will the program increase knowledge and comfort level with coins and money? Will the program effectively reach out to all students? The participants were between the ages of seven and eight. The results were measured with pretests, posttests and an affective questionnaire. There are two sets of results from this project. The first t-test shows the results were not statistically significant. The researcher investigated the results and calculated a second t-test. After discarding two sets of scores, the second t-test showed the students did increase their knowledge of coin recognition and counting coins. The observational data and information gathered from the affective questionnaire described the students' motivation and positive attitude towards math.
