The idea of writing my personal memoir on my experience during my tenure in the state Groundwater department of Uttar Pradesh and as a consultant was on my mind since I retired after a long service of 37 years. I have experience in writing technical books and papers but a personal memoir was something new and I kept on toying with that idea in my head. Meanwhile, after my retirement, I started writing various articles on Groundwater issues and social problems and started posting them on different social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and on my personal website. This memoir will also helpful to those who are in the service and facing various official problems and how to comet from the jugglery of official channels. A word of caution has also been described while dealing with the Financial duties along with the duties and responsibilities of divisional /Circle level officer.
