This chapter provides an up-to-date overview of fermentative hydrogen production from organic solid wastes. Numerous recent works have reported that abundant organic solid wastes from households, agriculture, and industry are potential feedstocks for hydrogen production, which can be exploited for waste management and energy production at the same time. However, the hydrogen production potential varies widely depending on the substrate components. This chapter thus deals with the characteristics of various organic solid wastes. Several effective strategies, including hydrolysis and sterilization methods to render organic solid wastes as a feasible substrate for effective hydrogen production, are presented. Hydrogen production is not only restricted by the composition of organic wastes, but also is dependent on the operational conditions. Thus, key parameters affecting hydrogen production, such as pH, temperature, nutrient supplementation, and hydraulic retention time, are reviewed. In addition, reactor types suitable for enhancing hydrogen production are also discussed.

In higher dimensions it classifies the rational concordance group of knots whose ambient space satisfies a certain cobordism theoretic condition. In particular, he constructs infinitely many torsion elements. He shows that the structure of the rational concordance group is much more complicated than the integral concordance group from a topological viewpoint. He also investigates the structure peculiar to knots in rational homology 3-spheres. To obtain further nontrivial obstructions in this dimension, he develops a technique of controlling a certain limit of the von Neumann $L 2$-signature invariants.

Putting God’s Last-day Church on Unmovable Footing In 1861, Ellen White wrote that we are now living in the time of the shaking and that everything that can be shaken will be shaken. (See Letters and Manuscripts, vol. 1, Letter 5b). These words are very alarming and cannot be brushed off lightly. Then in 1902, she penned the following: “Just as soon as the people of God are sealed in their foreheads—it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but a settling into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved—just as soon as God’s people are sealed and prepared for the shaking, it will come. Indeed, it has begun already.” –The SDA Bible Commentary, vol 4, page 1161. The truths that the people of God need to be settled into both intellectually and spiritually so they are unmovable in the time of the shaking, include the sanctuary, the investigative judgment and the three angels’ messages.
