In this twentieth-anniversary edition of her now classic text, a substantial new afterword addresses major questions and controversies surrounding trauma theory that have arisen over the past two decades. Caruth offers innovative insights into the inherent connection between individual and collective trauma, on the importance of the political and ethical dimensions of the theory of trauma, and on the crucial place of literature in the theoretical articulation of the very concept of trauma. I have driven thousands of miles in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. “Study the world’s culture.” Learn the motto God gave us, “Faith, Hope, and Love”. My life is working and learning. Young person plan your life “NOW!” Thirty years in advance I planned a sabbatical every 10 years. I had three planned concurrent careers: Academic Neurosurgery, United States Naval Reserve, and founder of a Neuroscience Center with an interchange with 25 countries. I have performed 10,000 operations. God promises that learning will prolong your days. God will deliver and preserve His people for His Heavenly Kingdom. This book is for our family and friends. Encodements bring your ideas, the ideas you gather from the mind of God, into form. You do not create the encodements of form. Those who work with encodements do. You, however, hold in your mind’s eye, the third eye, the template of what you wish to create. Then those who work with encodements develop the energetic structure of the template you create. This is cocreation. The energy you shape has no desire of its own. Its purpose is to follow the creator’s intention. You are such young creators. You are not aware of the power of your thought and intention. You are not aware how fragile the creation of form is. When you work to create nonphysical form, the focus of your intention is crucial for creation. If the form of your creation is unclear, you cannot focus your intention. This may result in being displeased with your creation. Be clear how you want your abundance to take form. Know that you are working with the laws of this planet as well as the laws of energy. When you digress from your intention by reviewing what you don’t have rather than what you want to create, the energy you use to create disperses, just as the wind comes along and disperses your pile of leaves. True abundance comes from the heart. You do not need things to have true abundance.

History is filled with wars. We dream the victories and defeats, great and small, and note how they have shaped our world. Wars and social movements have made our civilization as we know it. Man’s religion and past wars gives us an understanding of the present. In 1075, a militia loyal to the crown was used against the Norman rebellion. A militia in 1285, and later a Law of Trusts, reorganized the militia. In 1471, with the aid of the militia, towns in Sweden returned to reforms. The University of Uppsala was founded (1477) and printing was introduced. The civic humanist ideal of the militia was spread through Europe by the writings of Niccolò Machiavelli. The militiaman in times of crisis left his civilian duties and became a soldier. When the emergency was over, he returned to his civilian status. Militias continued in England, Italy, Germany, and the United States through the Middle Ages. The first US militia was in Boston. Militias soon followed in the Colonies. Militias were valuable in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, Mexican War, and both sides of the Civil War. There was further growth into the 1900’s and on into the Present. “Thou art also victory and law When empty terrors overawe.” (Wordsworth)

Your healing prevents a deep wound from moving across the planet, which prevents someone else from being wounded, which prevents another person from being wounded, and on and on. When you repair even the smallest part of your energy field, you raise your vibration and life is easier.
