Out of the box, growing and learning Out of the box, growing and learning is a quote in our book. We selected this saying because thats how we feel about our body of work. Our Poetry and Food for Thought is unique in the way that young and old will be able to relate and understand our message. Writers Block is not targeted to any one group of people; its universal. We believe people from all walks of life can pick up a copy, and take a little something from it, because theyve either experienced a similar situation, or know someone who has. Thats one brief synopsis to Out of the box; we are all growing and learning hopefully. Another component to Writers Block that I find unique is that we didnt just add photos to our body of work, we added art photography to express our thoughts and feelings, and we combined it all into one to make a whole. We all brought something different and unique to the table. This is beautiful in and of itself. We thrive on being uniquely different, while at the same time growing and learning from each other, as well as other authors. Lastly, none of us currently hold degrees in writing or journalism. Were straight Out of the box, growing and learning. So, how did we do? We would love to hear from you.
Yearning is a novel that takes you into the lives of four individuals-Rachel, Samantha, Crystal and Robert-who desperately yearn for a change in their lives. Rachel Moore, an art gallery owner, has run a successful business for the past two years. Although shes happy with her current success, shes struggling to understand why shes failed to achieve the same results in her personal relationships. Samantha Richardson is a college student and single mother of two. She relocated to Minnesota from Texas three years earlier, eager to make her own way, and fi nds herself torn between family and her new found independence. Crystal Jones, Samanthas cousin, is one of the best social workers in town; all her clients will vouch for that, but she has yet to convince Derrick that shes the best woman for him. Robert Moore, Rachels big brother, is a successful attorney and senior partner at Nichols, Moore and Malone. Since his wife of sixteen years divorced him, he has been searching high and low for a replacement.
