Do you know who you are? Dr. Carlos Warter, the esteemed physician, psychotherapist, and healer whose charismatic lectures and workshops around the world have led untold thousands to rediscover their essential selves, now shares his prescription for achieving physical health and emotional joy. Do you know why you get sick? In today's society, it is all too easy to believe that we are our outer identities--that we are spouse or lover, child or parent, worker or artist, victim or addict. But now Dr. Warter, drawing on the age-old wisdom of the world's major religions, his own illuminating life experiences, and his consultations with the Dalai Lama and other great spiritual leaders, shows that in order to heal, to become whole, to become ourselves, we must go beyond the small, self-constructed circles of identity that we assume each day. For it is our very attachment to these false, limiting personalities that leads to chronic stress and disease...while keeping us from recognizing our greatest treasure: our sacred selves. In Who Do You Think You Are? Dr. Warter offers the tools--from Buddhist prayers to original meditations--that can help us reconnect with our authentic selves. And he presents the other profound precepts of his new model of healing. Discover: why any transition--birth, illness, death, or, indeed, any kind of change--can be a springboard for personal and spiritual evolution how combining the use of modern medicine and alternative therapies with the power of an open heart and divine love can bring us to a place of unconditional wellness how living in the moment results in greater awareness, a reduction in stress, and the development of real self-esteem Who Do You Think You Are? is an important new addition to the latest literature on the healing of the mind, body, and spirit--one that provides a major breakthrough in how we view the world, ourselves, and all humanity.

A Parable on Spiritual TransformationWhat is the purpose of human life? Who am I? What is the reality of this world I find myself in? Why do I find myself in the midst of certain troublesome circumstances? Who among us has not pondered some of these questions at times? On the outermost level, this book is a teaching metaphor similar to those used in all sacred traditions. But behind the parable is cosmic perspective on essence, individuality, and relationships. There is a view of human purpose, soul design, and divine direction that leads to a new look at the origin of suffering, healing, and the evolutionary dimensional shift. Through the voices of archetypes of consciousness, the book subliminally explores paths to power, love, beauty, strength, and mysticism. It moves through different dimensions of reality while simultaneously focusing on the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of life as instruments of expression that can be tuned to a higher purpose. The Soul Remembers is the expression of a spiritual journey that has assisted thousands in their own processes of self-remembrance, encouraging them to live more deeply and become personally responsible for cocreating heaven on earth.

This book presents a comprehensive study covering the design and application of microwave sensors for glucose concentration detection, with a special focus on glucose concentration tracking in watery and biological solutions. This book is based on the idea that changes in the glucose concentration provoke variations in the dielectric permittivity of the medium. Sensors whose electrical response is sensitive to the dielectric permittivity of the surrounding media should be able to perform as glucose concentration trackers. At first, this book offers an in-depth study of the dielectric permittivity of water–glucose solutions at concentrations relevant for diabetes purposes; in turn, it presents guidelines for designing suitable microwave resonators, which are then tested in both water–glucose solutions and multi-component human blood plasma solutions for their detection ability and sensitivities. Finally, a portable version is developed and tested on a large number of individuals in a real clinical scenario. All in all, the book reports on a comprehensive study on glucose monitoring devices based on microwave sensors. It covers in depth the theoretical background, provides extensive design guidelines to maximize sensitivity, and validates a portable device for applications in clinical settings.
Neoplastic mimics or "pseudotumors" can simulate neoplasms on all levels of analysis- clinical, radiologic, and pathologic--and thus represent particular diagnostic pitfalls for the pathologist that can ultimately lead to therapeutic misdirection. This book provides the pathologist with detailed morphologic descriptions and diagnostic guidance in recognizing these neoplastic mimics as they occur in the genitourinary system. In addition, descriptions and diagnostic guidance are provided for the range of genitourinary lesions tumors that may mimic benign masses but are in fact neoplastic. Throughout the book comparisons of neoplastic mimics with true neoplasms are provided, at clinical, gross, and histologic levels. In the presentation of every entity, the points that contribute to differential diagnosis are emphasized. More than 500 color images and this analysis of diagnostic mimics guide the pathologist through recognizing and distinguishing the unusual variants, morphologic anomalies and misleading features that may easily lead to an inaccurate interpretation and missed diagnosis. Since many of entities described are uncommon Neoplastic Mimics in Genitourinary emphasizes imaging and clinical correlations throughout to support the pathologist as consultant to the entire diagnostic and clinical management team. Every pathologist who sees genitourinary cases will find this book an invaluable working tool to ensure accurate diagnosis. Neoplastic Mimics in Genitourinary Pathology features: Over 500 high-quality images showing the full range of neoplastic mimics in the genitourinary tract Concise, specific text descriptions make the book easy to use as a visual reference Expert authors guide the reader to recognizing and distinguishing misleading specimens
Dynamic Reconfigurable Architectures and Transparent Optimization Techniques presents a detailed study on new techniques to cope with the aforementioned limitations. First, characteristics of reconfigurable systems are discussed in details, and a large number of case studies is shown. Then, a detailed analysis of several benchmarks demonstrates that such architectures need to attack a diverse range of applications with very different behaviours, besides supporting code compatibility. This requires the use of dynamic optimization techniques, such as Binary Translation and Trace reuse. Finally, works that combine both reconfigurable systems and dynamic techniques are discussed and a quantitative analysis of one them, the DIM architecture, is presented.
