375 exciting tales of heroism and tragedy drawn from the nearly 150,000 search and rescue missions carried out by the National Park Service since 1872.
The book is a compilation of stories and little adventures as seen and heard by Butch Wyatt. It is stories that perhaps will make you laugh, stand up and cheer and possibly cry. The intent of the stories is not to insult or downgrade anyone but to let you know how he made it from a child to an adult. Please imagine yourself as him as he maneuvers through life to the present.
Executive Civil Defense: Planet of Yenrus is a sci-fi tale. While it is fiction, and about humans against a common foe, you have to decide whether Earth puts up the best defense, or was the best cut by the Vancquish Raaiders? Just remember, it is only fiction, an adventurous comedy written for your reading pleasure.
The Edification of a Turkey Hunter By: Butch Barnes Butch didn’t start turkey hunting until he met Tommy Nelson, his father- in-law to be, in 1968. Mr. Nelson was both a passionate turkey hunter and a great story teller. His passing in 1997 caused Butch to reflect on his own experiences in the “turkey woods” over the preceding four decades, and he decided to share them. This book, however, is about more than just the pursuit and kill. Along the way, Butch discovered more about himself and the hunting experience than he learned about turkeys. His experiences served as a classroom for growing not only his calling and hunting skills, they also grew his Christian faith, seeing how God provided this great sport while also giving us the responsibility to be His steward of this great game bird and its habitat. It’s a story that will appeal to novice and veteran, and hopefully draw others to take to the field and experience the thrills of pursuing this noble bird.
Victory in The Storm “Fighting the good fight of faith.” 1 Timothy 6:12A KJV Victory in The Storm is an exciting and inspirational book that will help you through your fight with cancer or any illness. What you learn in this book will build up your faith and strengthen you as you heal. What I wrote is what I learned after the doctors wanted to pull the plug on me. What I wrote here is how I was able to inspire others as I got my healing victory. My prayer as you read this inspirational book is that it will build up your faith. As you read this book. I pray you will build up an expectancy and an atmosphere for miracles. As your faith increases, you will be stirred up and you will get your breakthrough. Another place you can build up your faith is by reading the Bible. Romans 10:17 ESV says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” I once was in ICU for 37 days, 10 of them in a coma. The doctors gave me little hope. Several times they asked my family to pull the plug on me. The doctors gave me a death sentence, but God gave me a life sentence. He always has the final say. God said “your time, Butch Dias, is not up. You need to tell the world of My story.” I had to make a conscious choice not to listen to the doctor’s report. I read my Bible and researched every healing scripture there was in it. I spent time memorizing them and praying them over myself. I had many Bible believing friends that stuck with me and encouraged me, and prayed me through the bad days. I would learn to stand on the Word of God and in tougher times, stand more. I was blessed to have a great support system. People prayed relentlessly for me. They had “Pit Bull” faith. They would not let go of my healing promises. Miracle after miracle happened and I had to step out in faith to survive. The more I stepped out in faith, the more I got well. I learned that baby steps were still steps forward. Baby steps were just building blocks of faith. This book was written with the love and compassion to help hurting people with what I learned. This is how I found victory for my situation. Sometimes you have to position yourself to receive. A tight end in football has to run the right route to be able to receive the pass from the quarterback. He has to position himself to receive the ball or he will never get his touchdown. By releasing our faith we can create an atmosphere to receive our miracle. Praying for your miracle today and believing for your healing. Sincerely yours in Christ, Butch Dias Matthew 14:12 NASB, “When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.”
In 1974 the Chattooga River became the first river East of the Mississippi to be included in the National Wild and Scenic River System. It was included because it was a clean, free-flowing mountain stream located in a relatively undeveloped mountain environment. Forming part of the Georgia-South Carolina Border, the Chattooga is the only free-flowing portion of the Savannah River System. This book gives a comprehensive overview of the river including the topography, physiography and geology, weather and climate, human history, plant life, wildlife, and recreation opportunities.
This story begins where it ends, followed by a whimsical search for lucidity. The reader is taken for a particle infused gambol, a continuum circling spacetime. Isolation propels our hero, Thomas Sawyer. Exploring truth in blackholed fiction, our protagonist forages inward, where reflections of self-determined inevitability combine in a frenzy of mockery and contradiction. At lightspeed, redemption illuminates a champion’s folly, a fatuitous glow of expiated observance plucking strings of pity. Quarantined with the loathing of an allegorical cat, Luca, Thomas purrs a sardonic tune toward infinity. Besieged by mirrored worlds and consumed with extinction, haunting figures swirl from Thomas’ backscattering, a fanciful fancy of infantile fantasy, nonsensical nonsense neither fanciful, nor fancy, but fantastic. Every word punctuates an elliptical narrative woven concave toward cosmic salvation. Finally, in the end, childhood friends find reciprocity in a nearby cemetery, where Thomas peddles his last commodity, cashes his final check, and sells his essence for salvation. Simply, the story is the story.
