Adamson Brothers Invention of Lastex: the First Stretchable Clothing. In 1925 James Harold Adamson and Percy Adamson (brothers) formed a partnership which resulted in the invention of "Lastex" the first marketable stretchable clothing in 1932. Shortly after the depression Percy borrowed more than $80,000 from James and refused to pay it back. This story is a product that touched almost every person on earth, yet which glory was lost in a family disbute. You've heard of Adam and Eve's sin, but what of Adamson's fruit of the loom? Lastex's trademark was transferred to the DuPont's United States Rubber Company in the early 1930s. Read about the first lawsuit where a partnership was formed on a verbal agreement. Also note is the development of Larchmont Shores in Westchester County in New York.
The Very First Cold Warrior: Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt died June 9, 2002 at the age of 100 this volume covers Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt's first job with the Bolshevik's, the founding of the Russian Review while Dimitri worked for the OSS, the promotion of the CIA's Radio Free Europe and Amcomlib (aka Radio Liberty). William H. Chamberlin, conservative columnist for the Wall Street Journal, was Dimitri's closest friend and was telling Allen Dulles "how" to run the Warren Commission. Another friend of Dimitri's was James Billington, a former CIA agent and our current Librarian of Congress was telling Allen Dulles how to run the Warren Commission. Interesting note is that Rush Limbaugh, Jr. idealized William H. Chamberlin, "who says genes are hereditary?" Allen Dulles was writing to the brother of Lee Harvey Oswald's closest friend in February of 1953. This was ten years before the JFK assassination. At the same time he was working with the father-in-law of George de Mohrenschildt, this is covered in volume eleven of this series. Very incriminating evidence on Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt.
Wolfen Communism Without Trotsky This volume takes a thorough look at the relationships between Bertram Wolfe, Nelson Rockefeller, Allen Dulles and Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt. It also covers William F. Buckley, Jr. and his editor James Burnham. The Nelson Rockefeller story has been incorporated into this book. It looks at both the assassinations of President Kennedy and Leon Trotsky. Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt knew many people who were close to Trotsky at the time of his assassination in Mexico City including James Burnham. De Mohrenschildt worked for the Buckley family oil company in South America. He had a listing for . Buckley brothers in his address book. Nelson Rockefeller ran Inter-American Affairs during WWII and employed de Mohrenschildt. Rockefeller ran the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. MoMA board members had ties to Lee Harvey Oswald's closest friend George de Mohrenschildt. Five of them.
Mr. McGhee You've Done It Again This volume explores Undersecretary of State, George Crew McGhee and his friendship with de Mohrenschildt. McGhee was disliked by RFK, while he was an old time friend of LBJ's. It is shown that McGhee is firmly linked to many of the main suspects in this saga. Those include Nelson Rockefeller, C.B. Wrightsman, Allen Dulles and Lyndon Baines Johnson. Contains a look into the General Edwin Walker shooting. Vol. II. also contains a thorough investigation into the CIA's Republic National Bank Building, where McGhee, de Mohrenschildt and Robert Gerald Storey worked. Storey lead the JFK Assassination investigation for the Texas Attorney General, Waggoner Carr. George Bush's mentor, Neil Mallon of Dresser Industries held three floors in this building. Lee Oswald was taken to a job interview by Sam Ballen to this CIA-trust Bank Building. De Mohrenschildt had office on 16th floor. Earle Mayfield had office on 15th floor. Locke and Purnell law firm had office in building and organized motorcade route. The entire building was filled with CIA officials according to Earle Mayfield who told his secretary this. Was the great granddaughter and second great grandson of Ralph Waldo Emerson involved in the assassination of the JFK Assassination? Michael and his mother Ruth Forbes Paine (aka. Mrs. Arthur Young) was tied to Henry Luce, Allen Dulles and to Lee Harvey Oswald. In 1953, ten years before JFK's fall, Allen Dulles is working with George de Mohrenschildt's father-in-law and his brother Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt. This volume contains a thorough examination of the compelling evidence linking Ruth Paine, Henry and Clare Luce, Prescott Bush and Allen Dulles' ties to Mary Bancroft. Bancroft was the lover of both Henry Luce and Allen Dulles simultaneously and was the long-time friend of the mother of Oswald's benefactors prior to the assassination. Bancroft worked on the WWII assassination attempt on Adolph Hitler. The evidence proves that Dulles was involved in the cover-up of the JFK assassination. Two chapters have been added on, as of November 1998. These are Dimitri Von Mohrenschildt's ties to Ruth (Forbes) Paine and her husband, Arthur Young. Young invented the Bell helicopter, and made a fortune off of it in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Young worked closely with Joseph Mashman, who was LBJ's pilot. Mr. and Mrs. Young were the parents of Michael and Ruth (Hyde) Paine, Lee Harvey Oswald's landlords and benefactors, at the time of the JFK assassination. John Forbes Kerry is a cousin to Ruth (Forbes) Paine and Michael Paine. They call him JFK, II. See President Kennedy sitting in chair while a young Forbes looks on.
First published in 1974, British Cabinet Ministers is about the opportunities and constraints of executive political office. It is mainly based on interviews with fifty contemporary British Ministers and twenty-five senior civil servants. Hitherto political observers have referred simply to ‘strong’ and ‘weak’ Ministers, which begs the question ‘“strong” or “weak” at what?’ Here Ministers are classified into five types—policy initiators, policy selectors, Executive and Ambassador Ministers, and Minimalists—depending on their different approaches to their jobs. The problems Ministers face in achieving their objectives are analysed and case studies are presented of the performance in office of different types of Ministers. In this context, we review the skills and abilities of politicians themselves and the range and quality of advice they can expect to receive in Whitehall. In the final section, the author considers the consequences for British government of the finding that Ministers are better qualified to perform some of their roles than others, and also indicates lines of inquiry that need to be further pursued by students of executive political leadership.
All Faithful People was first published in 1983. Minnesota Archive Editions uses digital technology to make long-unavailable books once again accessible, and are published unaltered from the original University of Minnesota Press editions. In 1924 Robert and Helen Lynd went to Middletown (Muncie, Indiana) to study American institutions and values. The results of their work are the classic studies Middletown (1929) and Middletown in Transition (1937). In the late 1970s a team of social scientists returned to Middletown to gauge the changes that have taken place in the fifty years since the Lynds' first visit. The Middletown III Project, by replicating the earlier work, in some cases by using the same questions, provides an unprecedented portrait of a small American town as it adapts to changing times. Its first report, Middletown Families, was published by Minnesota in 1982. This book explores the role of religion in the life of Middletown. Using the Lynds' magnificent cache of empirical data as a base, social scientists on the Middletown III Project attempted to gauge how religious beliefs and practices have changed. For the most part, their findings show that the current perception of a trend toward a more secular society is not true. In Middletown, religion seems to be more important than ever. All Faithful People also covers the history of Middletown's churches, the differences between the town's Protestants and Catholics, religious participation among young people, and the role in Middletown life of private devotions and public rituals. In conclusion, the authors of All Faithful People evaluate Middletown as a representative community. They attempt to explain the myth of the death of organized religion, and briefly compare religion in America to religion in other Western countries. Fifty years after the Lynds first made Middletown famous, a team of social scientists returned to find out how American values have changed. This, their second report, focuses on religion. What does religion mean to Middletown today? Has America become a secular society? Those are some of the questions discussed in All Faithful People.
LARRY FLYNT KILLS JFK ASSASSINATION ARTICLE, AFTER OFFERING $1,000,000 REWARD. In 1997 Larry Flynt hired Bruce Campbell Adamson to write a 6,000 word JFK assassination article, but killed the story. This is the story! The author has also added exhibits to the article to let the public become the judge to decide if there is enough proof to show a conspiracy. This will NOT be an attack on the character of Larry Flynt. In fact the author will incorporate material which ties the CIA to Larry Flynt about the time he was shot. Coincidence or conspiracy? seems to be the question. Mark Lane, attorney who represented Lee Harvey Oswald in death was friends with CIA Director Allen Dulles' girlfriend Mary Bancroft. Bancroft is covered in volume VI. Lane also represented Jim Jones as an attorney and for some reason escaped with his life from Jonestown while others were killed. Lane also was in town on the day Larry Flynt was shot after offering $1,000,000 Reward. Mark Lane even represented Flynt. Tied to three tragedies before they took place. Talk about Tragic Luck. In 2013 Adamson spoke to Mark Johnson at LFP and asked him if he was interested in the de Mohrenschildt. Adamson submitted volume twelve to Johnson -- after the other material was returned. LFP paid Adamson $500.00 in 1997 for his article and plugged his website.
Here is the first-ever celebration of all things—and all people—of Scottish descent. While relatively few in number, the Scots have certainly made their mark on the world: · More the seventy-five percent of all American presidents have had Scottish ancestors, although fewer than five percent of the American population is of Scottish descent. · Almost eleven percent of all the Nobel Prizes ever awarded have involved Scots and their descendants—even though fewer than one half percent of the people of the world can claim Scottish ancestry · At least five of the twelve astronauts who have walked on the moon were descended from Scots. Today there are almost 28 million people of Scottish ancestry in the world, over 12 million of whom reside in the United States, about 4 million in Canada, and about 5 million in Scotland. Scottish accomplishments throughout history in every field of endeavor—from science to the arts to politics and exploration—rival those of even the largest ethnic groups: · Scots have been significant in most of the major inventions of the past three centuries, including the steam engine, the telegraph, the telephone, radio, television, the computer, transistor, and the motion picture · People as diverse as Sir Isaac Newton, Charles de Gaulle, Katharine Hepburn, Winston Churchill, Elizabeth Taylor, Immanuel Kant, Sir Laurence Olivier, Elvis Presley, Edvard Grieg, John D. Rockefeller, and Ty Cobb could claim Scottish ancestry · Warsaw, Madrid, La Paz, and Stockholm have all had mayors of Scottish Descent. The Mark of the Scots contains thousands of facts and is fully annotated. It is a comprehensive and readable book that deserves a place on the shelve of every genealogist, Scottish-American, and history buff.
This record of the achievements of pipers during the war of 1914-18 is not intended to be an appeal to emotionalism. It aims at showing that, in spite of the efforts of a very efficient enemy to prevent individual gallantry, in spite of the physical conditions of the modern battlefield, the pipes of war, the oldest instrument in the world, have played an even greater part in the orchestra of battle in this than they have in past campaigns. The piper, be he Highlander, or Lowlander, or Scot from Overseas, has accomplished the impossible—not rarely and under favourable conditions, but almost as a matter of routine; and to him not Scotland only but the British Empire owes more than they have yet appreciated. In doing so he has sacrificed himself; and Scotland—and the world—must face the fact that a large proportion of the men who played the instrument and kept alive the old traditions have completed their self-imposed task. With 500 pipers killed and 600 wounded something must be done to raise a new generation of players; it is a matter of national importance that this should be taken in hand at once, and that the sons of those who have gone should follow in the footsteps of their fathers...
