The Wilderness: A Path to Promise accounts for Bonita’s spiritual descent from the mountain top of blessing, position, and influence into the abyss of isolation and separation. Bonita testifies that a spiritual wilderness is a space of extreme loneliness, trial, and overall discomfort. Bonita examples through her experiences that though God’s presence fills the wilderness, the enemy is there to tempt self-will and self-determination over God’s will and purpose. Bonita uses her story to encourage the reader to look inward at what is genuinely guiding their purpose. The book also challenges the question: What happens once you arrive at your promise? Her story will interrupt hopelessness and offer a different perspective on how we characterize God’s will for our lives.

What Secrets Does Your Legacy Hold? Bonnie shares her incredible story about the power of love, family, and legacy and how these helped her overcome the chaos that not only surrounded her in the Jim Crow south, but also boiled inside her own soul. Nana always told little Bonnie that she had the feet of a princess. Her small, perfect feet meant that she was something special. Nana also drilled into little Bonnie that the most important things she could have were an education and Jesus, because those are the only two things nobody could ever take away. Set in a middle class neighborhood in Wilmington, Delaware during the time of Sputnik, fall-out shelters, desegregation and the civil rights movement, The Feet of a Princess is a front-row seat to a different type of Negro family during an era that history has yet to address. This heartwarming memoir will show how the words and teachings of family can transform the soul of anyone willing to open their ears to the messages, even years later. Once you open this book, you won’t be able to put it down.

In "Why Not Have It All", we are shown how best to navigate the turbulent waters of modern life. As a woman, this can be both complex and demanding, for there has been a sea change in societal mores which has, in many instances, left us in newly uncharted waters. Bonita Shelby is a woman who has, with God’s help, managed to find her way and wants to act as a beacon to others—keeping us off the rocks that might otherwise capsize us. The shifting demands of love, marriage, children, education, and employment need not overwhelm us. Indeed, when balanced they can form the very pillars of a life of fulfilment through God’s favor and grace. "Why Not Have It All" presents a wealth of practical advice, for women(of all ages) that is backed up by scripture, and set against a number of compelling biographical glimpses into the life of Bonita herself. Personal and powerful, it is a work that is sure to inspire and instruct likeminded readers.
Our manuscript, Lucifer Son of the Morning, is what we feel to be a reasonable interpretation into the path of one of the most talked-about characters throughout the history of man. Through no small effort on our behalf and with great attention to that, which is written concerning him in scripture as well as being careful to scour through the countless mythologies surrounding our books protagonist, it was our goal to take the reader into the story with a tale from behind the gates and to paint a picture of the rebellious archangel, both before and after the profound catharsis that spawned he who is readily felt by many faiths to be the embodiment of evil. Our book begins in heaven with Lucifer leading a worship session, adorned in gold and silkhe is flawless to look upon, loving in nature, and still very much in good standings with his father, the almighty king, Jehovah God. At the onset of the book, Lucifer is a humble and revered prince, who takes exceeding pleasure in writing beautiful hymns and raising beautiful praises to his father. Though Lucifer is tasked with much in the kingdom, he embraces it all with good cheerpraising Jehovah through verse is sustenance for him. Although Lucifers prominence is illustrated through displays of reverence by the heavenly hosts, his prestige as an archangel is not too great that the angels feel separated from him by class. No, it is balanced completely by his humility and earnestness. Jehovah publicly exalts Lucifer before the entire angelic body. Throughout time, the transition begins to awaken Lucifer in profound ways. A byproduct of Lucifers ever-escalating wisdom is a knowledge of the thoughts of his contemporaries. The quiet subjugation from those near him comes with a twist. Suddenly, there are internal questions that begin to surface, questions about his pedigree. God announces man and calls Adam his greatest creation, and behind this decree, the angels are told to bow. Lucifer is incensed. He refuses and blatantly disobeys Jehovah. Soon, there are conspirators and clandestine meetings in secret corners of heaven. There, with the assistance and abetting of many, Lucifer, once the humble steward and servant of his father, the king, calculates and devises a web of subterfuge in heaven and brings his own war to the gates of paradise. It sure is a lot of fun getting him there! Thanks, Anthony and Bonita
Weights and Stumbling Blocks is a book of poetry that will encourage, inspire, and comfort you. The words of the poems are considered gifts and are inspired by God. God led Jessica through many trials and tribulations by placing the words in her heart to write during her journey. Many of the poems were inspired by failed relationships, times of loneliness, heartaches, and the tears she shed throughout the years. Others were written for people who suffered through divorce, job loss, death of loved ones, and so forth. Others were written in times of joy, healing, and peace.

With happiness fleeing from those who once had it and becoming an elusive dream for many, it is important to provide an answer to the question, "How do I find happiness?" Even though happiness is as abstract as the air we breathe, both provide evidence that they exist. The proof of the lack of air is death and the proof of the lack of happiness is unhappiness, misery and discontentment, lack of joy and gratefulness, and being disgruntled and dissatisfied. Happiness is obtainable when we are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. In finding happiness, we must remember that walking through this life is not all about us. It's about who we are through the creator, finding our purpose and destiny so we can live happy, fulfilled lives, and live life in according to the plan that was designed for us, individually. It is important to find happiness not only so you can live a better life, but also because the mental status of parents and role models affect the mental stability of the children. Unhappy situations happen every day, and anyone can recall a situation of unpleasantness-death, divorce, loss of a job, demotion, etc. Even so, the question is not whether we have been unhappy, but rather whether our level of happiness over time is strong enough to bring us back to the momentum on the continuum of happiness. If you are uncertain about your happiness, A Quick Fix: Seven Steps to Happiness offers a guide to help you find your happiness!
Here is an update of the previous edition, more relevant for the new millennium. The classic resources in management and team building are people, money, facilities and time. Increasingly, though, the fifth resource_energy_is becoming more crucial. Each chapter of this book deals with one of the five building blocks or resources and concludes with suggested activities and events that managers can use to build that resource. The authors also show the importance of using all five resources together for a manager to be effective. It is important to note that team building is not itself an activity, but the result of attending to the seventeen characteristics that demarcate effective teamwork. When these characteristics exist to a high degree, you have an effective team. It is the manager's job to assess the strength of these characteristics in the organization and then to remediate any weakness. Building upon the strengths of the people in the organization ensures that a manager is building for the future. This widely read practical guide is free of technical jargon, with many examples of successful implementation.
If you want to find an example of someone who walked the path of the mystic, look at Jesus the Christ. The sincere obedience Jesus showed the Father and his love of humanity is something we’re all meant to do in our own way. Saint Francis of Assisi, Rebecca Cox Jackson, Khalil Gibran, and many others were also led by the presence of God they discovered within themselves. In this memoir, the Rev. Bonita Jones Frazier describes the transcendental experiences that she has had from the time she was a child until today. Along the way, she shares how she discovered who she is and her purpose in life. The journey she shares goes by many names, including the Path of the Kabala in Judaism, the Path of the Sufi in Islam, the Path of the Christian Mystic, the Path of the Bodhisattva in Buddhism, and others. You, too, can be a modern-day mystic following your own religious tradition. The “Pearl of Great Price” is knowing God as a seed in your heart, a divine spark, waiting to be loved, nurtured and brought to a full, glorious bloom.
Written for dyslexic adults or anyone who thinks they might be dyslexic, this bold and imaginative book contains toolboxes of ideas for reading, writing, organisation.
Written by feminists and other researchers from the disciplines of psychology, sociology, anthropology, and management science, the fourteen essays in this collection are about women's experience of paid work and women's ways of coping with employment stress. The opening essays highlight the tremendous social and cultural changes that have compelled women to develop new coping strategies. Several contributing authors examine specific workplace structures and describe women's experiences in different occupational contexts whether hostile or hospitable. Shifting from a structural to an individual perspective, other contributors deal with psychosocial factors, such as gender differences, that have been found to moderate stress and enhance the coping process. They analyse individual experiences with work-related stressors, focusing on the mediating effects of cognitive appraisals. The concluding chapters provide a critique of research methods commonly used to study work-related stress and coping and a review by the editors of the many factors and relationships which influence women's ways of coping with employment stress. Women, Work, and Coping contains contributions by Nina Colwill, Bruce E. Compas, Esther R. Greenglass, Barbara Gutek, Catherine A. Heaney, Sharon E. Kahn, Ronald C. Kessler, Karen Korabik, Bonita C. Long, Judi Marshall, Diana L. Mawson, Lisa M. McDonald, Pamela G. Orosan, Hazel M. Rosin, Craig A. Smith, Anne Statham, Allison Tom, Elaine Wethington, and Lois M. Verbrugge.

A Blessing presents a fresh, bold analysis of African American female leadership. An unapologetic look at our often-overlooked role in America’s social, political, psychological and economic history, it is armed with data that should be empowering for today’s “unicorns.” The book offers a “playbook” to help Black unicorns “team up” and find innovative ways to support one another as they climb, what research shows, are lonely, stressful, jagged yet ultimately rewarding ladders of opportunity.

This is a story of a man-child in God's Promised Land who grew under His protection and favor while in complete ignorance of His dominion, power, and authority. It is the biography of a young man who came of age during the Civil Rights era who rose from a working class upbringing, skirting drugs and violence to become the first African-American optometrist, O.D. ...Focuses on the use of drugs as medications within the healthcare environment in Australia and New Zealand. ... We use the term 'medication', rather than 'drug', throughout this book to refer to any drug that is used in the healthcare context, although the terms are generally interchangeable ... and it is the generic name of a medication that does not change and is the essential name for the nurse to know. ... we also introduce some abbreviations that are commonly used by healthcare providers and pharmacists in writing and preparing medication prescriptions. ...Two new chapters have been included in the second edition. One chapter covers pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics, an area of growing interest in personalised medicine, and the other covers legal and ethical issues related to the administration of medications."--from preface.
The insecure little girl was the platform God used to get to Stevie Wonder, former President, Donald J. Trump, Whitney Houston, Elizabeth Taylor, Bob Hope, Gladys Knight, and so many more entertainers. I didn’t know God could use the most painful part of my life as a testimony to bless me, and so many others. Marriage and family can be such a challenge no matter how young or old you are. Living for Jesus in the midst of pain can turn any strong Christian to want to give up, but God. Having faith and trust in allowing the Holy Spirit that lives in us all to become alive, and a reality can be so rewarding when we take the focus off ourselves, our situation, and the world around us. Truly believing and living the life, and character of Jesus, is overwhelming when we decide to really let Him, lead, guide and direct us. I found my work everyday, was to get up and believe, that God did send His son Jesus, just for me. I had to internalize it, live it, and walk in the belief and authority over the tricks of the adversary trying to take control of my mind and family. I had to die everyday and be willing to be used as a vessel for God to break the generational curses trying to plague my family. I had to really put my faith and non-wavering belief at the for front of my mind, family and marriage and be willing to suffer for others to see just how great Jesus really is. Helping them to see that His death, resurrection and His suffering, just for me or them wasn’t in vain.

To promote effectiveness and minimize possible toxicity, the dosage of certain medications must be adjusted in persons with compromised kidney function. Failure to enjoin appropriate dosage adjustments in patients with abnormal or rapidly changing kidney function continues to lead to reports of drug toxicity involving a broad array of renally eliminated medications. This updated edition captures nearly 200 new drugs that have been approved by the FDA since the initial publication of Renal Pharmacotherapy. It also covers new evidence that has emerged regarding the need to adjust dosage of certain older medications that are eliminated by the kidneys. Additionally, it presents new data that are being continuously derived in the areas of patient-specific dose individualization for drugs of all types. Comprehensive, convenient, and evidence-based, this reference closes several identified knowledge gaps and will continue to be the leading collection of dosage recommendations for patients with compromised kidney function.
The story of the Americans who came under attack five hours after Pearl Harbor was hit: “Intriguing, informative, gripping, and at times very moving” (Naval Historical Foundation). This intimately researched work tells the story of the thousand-plus Depression-era civilian contractors who came to Wake Island, a remote Pacific atoll, in 1941 to build an air station for the US Navy—charting the contractors’ hard-won progress as they scramble to build the naval base, as well as runways for US Army Air Corps B-17 Flying Fortresses, while war clouds gather over the Pacific. Five hours after their attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese struck Wake Island, which was now isolated from assistance. The undermanned Marine Corps garrison, augmented by civilian-contractor volunteers, fought back against repeated enemy attacks, at one point thwarting a massive landing assault. The atoll was under siege for two weeks as its defenders continued to hope for the US Navy to come to their rescue. Finally succumbing to an overwhelming amphibious attack, the surviving Americans, military and civilian, were taken prisoner. While most were shipped off to Japanese POW camps for slave labor, a number of the civilians were retained as workers on occupied Wake. Later in the war, the last ninety-eight Americans were brutally massacred by their captors. The civilian contractors who had risked distance and danger for well-paying jobs ended up paying a steep price: their freedom and, for many, their lives. Written by the daughter and granddaughter of civilians who served on Wake Island, Building for War sheds new light on why the United States was taken by surprise in December 1941, and shines a spotlight on the little-known, virtually forgotten story of a group of civilian workers and their families whose lives were forever changed by the events on this tiny atoll.
“If only”, the sad refrain, so familiar, yet seemingly so limited, takes each character to the edge of their own personal cliffs. Regardless of the road taken, invariably, all roads lead to Destiny. No matter how far flung we find ourselves in life, the Force that Governs tomorrow, is never, ever, very far away. Faith, Choice and Fate ever surround us, so that Destiny can take center stage. Will loves Rain. Rain loves Ian. Ian loves another woman. Three lives, three loves and so three families are caught up in this tempest. The name of Love can offer many faces. True Love has only one face. Will, Rain and Ian all want to see their own dreams fulfilled. But Desperation, Infidelity, and Karma entangle all of them, turning their lives upside down. Be mindful of how you choose to tread in this lifetime. The Law of Sowing and Reaping is absolute. Forgiveness becomes the Master Key to still this storm, and could mean the difference between life or death of an innocent child.

This allegorical tale provides a contemporary spin on the biblical story of The Woman at the Well. The reader is taken on a journey with Samaris, who experiences the turmoil of losing her father, losing her family and losing the respect of her neighbors. She experiences more loss through five divorces and various forms of abuse, while losing her identity. She is lost and there is no one to point her in the right direction.
