I wrote the story in first person; I wanted the reader to see what was written from each person’s point of view. Chapter One sets the foundation on the two worlds that are part of Richards life. His mother’s family coming from Greece in the early 1900’s. His father’s family having settled in America in the very early colonial days. We then go to each of the key people around Richard, see their lives, and their lives around “The Coney”. Like other short stories I have written, you always learn a great deal about the life of our family; the Harlan Line. The Coney first opened in 1921, this year, in June of 2021 will be 100 years open as a family diner. Another point is how Richard and I developed a closer connection, talking about our family, and life in general. My wife and I visited Richard and his family several years ago in Highland Park, Michigan. Our first meal together was at The Coney, we dined on a 100-year tradition of a Coney Hotdog, topped with the old family traditional chili that started back in 1921 - Bobby Joe.

Wilson argues that Alabama’s path to industrialism differed significantly from that of states in the North and Midwest. True to its antebellum roots, no other industrial city in the United States depended as much on the exploitation of black labor so early in its urban development as Birmingham. The authors of Newsgames propose a new way of doing good journalism: videogames. Videogames are native to computers rather than a digitized form of prior media. Games simulate how things work by constructing interactive models; journalism as game involves more than just revisiting old forms of news production. Wired magazine's game Cutthroat Capitalism, for example, explains the economics of Somali piracy by putting the player in command of a pirate ship, offering choices for hostage negotiation strategies. Videogames do not offer a panacea for the ills of contemporary news organizations. While there he becomes familiar with all the soon to be legends including Bob Dylan. One year later he associates with other soon to be legends including Jimi James Hendrix, The Animals while backing up some of the largest recording acts in the world including Jerry Lee Lewis, The Ronnettes, Shangri-Las-Others. His band the Teemates were the FIRST and foremost exact look and sound alike of the Beatles and the electrifying performances drew huge numbers of screaming girls at their Concerts Soon he and his band are the House band for the legendary Sixties Disc Jockey Scot Muni at Scots entry into the Nightclub business which opened in 1965 called The Rolling Stone Disco. From there the band became the Matinee House band at the legendary Big Band Dixie land nightclub on Broadway called The Metropole Cafe. Within months an LP is released (Which is still in demand today) Sadly he also discovers that with all of its pomp and glory being a musician in those days the subtle risks involved carry a deadly trait as well. Within the rapidly passing years of time his addiction to alcohol soon took its toll until he no longer had any idea of who he was or where to go. But he did find recovery from his addictions. Only to realize that years would be required to undo the damage of a severely damaged emotional state of being.In summary a great many will discover his experience of repairing that damage is available for anyone willing to follow his lead.
