The inspiring, dramatic, and heartwarming true account of an escaped convict and his wife of thirty-five plus years who never knew his secret, which captured the imaginations of millions on Humans of New York. Bobby and Cheryl Love were living in Brooklyn, happily married for decades, when the FBI and NYPD appeared at their door and demanded to know from Bobby, in front of his shocked wife and children: "What is your name? No, what's your real name?" Bobby's thirty-eight-year secret was out. As a Black child in the Jim Crow South, Bobby found himself in legal trouble before his 14th birthday. Sparked by the desperation he felt in the face of limited options and the pull of the streets, Bobby became a master thief. He soon found himself facing a thirty-year prison sentence. But Bobby was smarter than his jailers. He escaped, fled to New York, changed his name, and started a new life as "Bobby Love." During that time, he worked multiple jobs to support his wife and their growing family, coached Little League, attended church, took his kids to Disneyland, and led an otherwise normal life. Then it all came crashing down. With the drama of a jailbreak story and the incredible tension of a life lived in hiding, The Redemption of Bobby Love is an unbelievable but true account of building a life from scratch, the pain of festering secrets in marriage, and the unbreakable bonds of faith and love that keep a family together.

Within the pages of this book is life-giving water for a church and a people that often don’t know they’re thirsty. Despite technological, theological, and sociological advances and the ability and platform to spread the Gospel like never before, the church of Jesus Christ continues to lose effectiveness and become divided over theological and doctrinal issues. This is because it has lost its identity, an identity characterized by God’s love, power, joy, purpose, and meaning, an identity reflecting God’s glory to a fallen world. The question is, how do we get back to the place where God intended us to be? Although God wants us to move on to maturity, sometimes we have to lay again the foundation. ReAwakening: The Power of the Gospel reminds us of the basics. With so many Christians fighting over correct doctrine, this book presents our Christian doctrinal foundation. Why are we here? What is our identity? What is the Good News? What do we need to do to be saved? Pastor and author Dr. Bobby Wagner answers all of those questions and more. ReAwakening clearly attempts to present all the theological and doctrinal truths surrounding the Gospel.
We Have a Problem Jesus said that where His Spirit is there is liberty, yet too many believers today are not free. We have embraced Christian belief, but our faith is not working right. The boldness, joy, and liberty of Christ do not yet mark us. Instead, we allow sin and its consequences to define our Christian faith and identity. We strive to reach impossible standards of religious and moral performance, which lead us through endless cycles of religious success and failure. We are another Israel in bondage, in need of deliverance. We need another exodus. In The Father’s Heart: Another Exodus, you will... • encounter God’s perfect love for you as you explore the Father’s heart • be empowered as you embrace your God-breathed identity and purpose in Christ • experience freedom from religion and moral performance as you shed shame and condemnation In The Father’s Heart: Another Exodus, revisit the cross and allow its good news message of grace to shine as brightly for you today as it did the day Christ was nailed to it. Leave behind the religious baggage you have carried and reclaim the faith that brings life as you embrace the heart of the Father. “Every generation has taken some issue with its predecessors, and rightly so… However, few ‘critics’ identify the real fundamental issues, and even fewer give substantial solutions. Bobby Howard has not only put his finger on the right issues of our ‘religiosity,’ but also gracefully pointed us in the right direction toward our liberty and acceptance in Christ. This ‘kid’ has done us all a big favor by writing this book! Read it!” —Alan Platt, Founder and Leader of Doxa Deo Ministries
THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO EXPERIENCE ALL YOU WERE CREATED FOR In Identity Crisis you will find power and purpose by putting your faith in the One who can transform your identity. Even in crisis, He can do far beyond anything you can imagine. What’s the greatest crisis in our world today? Dr. Bobby Wagner, contends it is our inability to believe in the power of God in our lives. Is it possible to read the Bible and believe God does not work powerfully through His people? Our miraculous identity in Christ has not ceased, our faith in it has. It seems we are losing our faith in our God given identity, in the Bible, in the church, and in our world. A dramatic transformation takes place when you believe in the power of the Gospel. As our unbelief continues one more person misses the Good News. As a result, of the nearly 75 million Americans who have trusted Jesus Christ for salvation, more than 70 million have never shared the Good News. In a postmodern and post Christian culture in the midst of a crisis of unbelief, the only way souls will be touched is if God’s people become witnesses of the power of the Gospel.

Question: What is the God-given purpose of the local church? Answer: Relational discipleship. DiscipleShift walks you through five key "shifts" that churches must make to refocus on the fundamental biblical mission of discipleship. These intentional changes will attract the world and empower your church members to be salt and light in their communities. Over the last thirty years, many influential church leaders and church planters in America have adopted various models for reaching unchurched people. While many of these approaches have merit, something is still missing, something even more fundamental to the mission of the church: discipleship. Making disciples—helping people to trust and follow Jesus—is the church's God-given mandate. Devoted disciples attract people outside the church because of the change others see in their Christ-like lives. And discipleship empowers Christians to be more like Christ as they intentionally develop relationships with non-believers. Through biblical and professional insights, Jim Putman and Bobby Harrington discuss the transformational effectiveness of making disciples and just how to do so, in practical terms. You’ll learn: The specific roles of a disciple-making pastor. The components of person-to-person discipleship. How each ministry in your church leads to discipleship. How to implement discipleship in your church. Disciple-making leaders will not produce perfect churches, but they will create effective churches.
Success. Influence. Accolades. Winning. Legendary Football Coach Bobby Bowden has it all. As the all-time winningest coach in Division I football history, Coach Bowden has statues erected in his honor and national charities and awards named after him. Four generations of fans have heard his message and witnessed his results. He built a successful career, climbed to the top of his field, and has a loving family. It's what we all want. And yet, Coach Bowden, who, as he puts it, is in the "fourth quarter" of his life, has a message for us all. The success . . . the influence . . . the accolades . . . the wins. . . none of it matters if our lives are not rooted in faith. God trumps our best hand. He always wins. Which is how it should be. That is the wisdom he wants to share. Let him tell you why faith and happiness are inseparable. No matter your life circumstance, The Wisdom of Faith shows you what really matters—from the perspective of a man who has made the journey. He looks back over eighty years. And he invites us to look forward with him into the future.
Many people believe that discipleship is important, but they need help. In fact, the vast majority of Christians report that they have never been personally discipled by a more mature follower of Jesus. Is it any wonder that they have a difficult time knowing how to disciple others? If making disciples of Jesus is the greatest cause on earth, how should we equip people to do it? This handbook is a practical guide for how to embrace the discipleship lifestyle – being a disciple of Jesus and how to make other disciples of Jesus. With contributions from pastors and teachers like Francis Chan, Jeff Vanderstelt, Bill Hull, Jim Putman, KP Yohannan, and Robert Coleman, the authors present seven elements that are necessary for disciple making to occur: Jesus—the original disciple maker and centerpiece of discipleship. Holy Spirit—fuels the disciple-making process. Intentionality—making disciples utilizing a strategy and a roadmap. Relationships—creating a loving, genuine connection with others who trust and follow Jesus. Bible—using the Word of God as the manual for making disciples. Journey—forging a traceable growth story from a new birth to spiritual parenthood. Multiply—reproducing the discipleship process so that the disciple becomes a disciple maker. Whether you are a parent who wants to disciple your children, a small group leader who wants to disciple those in your group, or a church leader who wants to disciple future leaders, the seven key elements in this handbook form a framework for understanding discipleship that can be applied in countless situations. In addition, there are questions provided in each section to help you think through how to apply the material to your disciple making efforts.

News headlines rarely uplift us. They tell depressing stories about everything that is going wrong in the world. The headlines can give us an unrealistic picture of what is actually happening. God is doing amazing things in this dark and broken world! He shows up today in the middle of our mess and provides reasons to be thankful, hopeful, and joyful. The headlines get the attention, but there is good news everywhere! Are you looking for it? Im all about looking for the good because when you do, that is exactly what you see. Blindness has taught me that no matter how dark life seems, there is still goodness and grace all around. That is why I love Bobby Lewis book! He helps us see beyond the bad news and focus our hearts on hope. I really think he may have the cure for the common headlines right here on these pages! After reading just one chapter, I was reminded that God is good. He is here. There is hope and joy is possible. Jennifer Rothschild Author of 14 books including bestsellers Lessons I Learned in the Dark and Me, Myself and Lies
Part of the 9Marks Healthy Church Study Guide series, this study defines sound doctrine and examines the pastoral Epistles' teaching on why it is so important to the church.
My Gifts From God is Bobby Nagrone's poetry collection from the the words he heard spoken directly to him from God. The poems are about love, faith and listening to the word of God.
Love Wins, the controversial bestselling book by Rob Bell, attempted to answer this question, which troubles nonbelievers and believers alike. Because Bell challenged traditional, orthodox Christian views of hell and the afterlife, many were left asking: “Are his ideas as reliable and hopeful as they sound? What does the Bible really say about hell?” In Hell, Rob Bell, and What Happens When People Die, Bobby Conway, a recognized authority on Christian apologetics, brings clarity to these serious life and death issues. “Love really does win,” according to Conway, “but it’s through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Based on a thorough examination of Scripture and a careful analysis of Rob Bell’s propositions, Conway delivers a compelling and concise explanation of hell, the afterlife, and a loving God. The conclusion: Everyone who believes and trusts in Christ has no need to fear the anguish of hell but can confidently anticipate the eternal joy of heaven.
The man who could make you cry when he sang' - RONNIE WOOD. Bobby Womack was born on 4 March 1944, and died on 27 June 2014, aged 70. In a career that spanned two centuries and seven decades, the soul singer, songwriter and guitarist carved a niche for himself that has rarely been equalled, and never surpassed. He is, quite simply, irreplaceable.A phenomenally gifted musician, his incredible talent helped him to escape the ghetto and become a star, with 30 million record sales to his name. Yet behind his beautiful music lay a life scorched by tragedy. Having trod the harsh edge of the music business for decades, he finally told his explosive story in this intimate memoir. From finding success with his family gospel group The Valentinos and being whipped into shape by James Brown and Jimi Hendrix on the 'chitlin' circuit', to recording with Wilson Pickett, Eric Clapton and Elvis Presley, Womack's stellar career wove a colourful path through the history of soul, rock and R&B music. His collaborations with other musicians read like a roll of honour, from Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles to The Rolling Stones and Damon Albarn.Success came at a price, however. Womack lost his friend and mentor Sam Cooke when the soul star was gunned down in a motel. A doomed marriage to Cooke's widow followed, which severely damaged his reputation in the music business. Tragically, he lost two sons, one to suicide, as well as his brother Harry to a brutal murder. His escape was to turn to drugs. Years of riotous abuse took their toll on Womack and those closest to him - including Janis Joplin, who spent her last night drinking with the singer. But Womack's talent, searing guitar and soulful voice always survived. Cited as an influence by myriad musicians, even in death he remains the epitome of cool. Honest, insightful and unflinching, this is the authentic voice of the Midnight Mover, a supremely talented legend of music whose every day was lived to the full. 'Essential reading for any music lover' - THE INDEPENDENT
“This book is undoubtedly one of the landmark Christian writings of our time. It serves as a clear clarion call, challenging all who represent the Christian faith to align with the true gospel.” —Alan Platt, Founder, Doxa Deo Ministries and The City Changers Movement “Get ready—A Kingdom Identity is inspiring, challenging, and a game changer. So, let the conversation begin.” —Steve Dixon, Senior Pastor, Christian Life Cathedral Christ came to reveal to us our true, redeemed identity! The most tragic consequence of the fall of humankind was our loss of the conviction of our true identity in Jesus Christ. What happens when we understand our identity in Him? We are released into being fully human and fully alive. When we understand and embrace our identity in Christ, we gain solid footing for living out God’s purpose for our lives. Our faith will deepen, our hearts will be enlarged, and we will permeate society with God’s love and goodness, making a positive impact for God’s kingdom on all humanity. In A Kingdom Identity, you will learn these life-changing principles: * Christianity is entirely about Jesus Christ and His desire for His identity to abide in every believer. * We are made complete in Christ. God’s purpose is that we bear His image to the world. * God calls every believer to be a minister and priest of His kingdom. * God never intended for us to separate from the world. God calls every believer to live by the life of Christ in them as they work in all pillars of society. If you can internalize the truths in A Kingdom Identity, mountains in you and around you will move. When you are yourself, in Christ, God will be expressed to the world.
“A person who is not afraid to cry in the place of prayer, or a person who is not afraid to laugh in the place of prayer is a person uninhibited in the place of prayer.” Although Elbert and Irene Waddell experienced a host of challenges in their childhood, they overcame their circumstances to become a power couple for God. Elbert came from a long line of alcoholics; Irene was born into poverty, lost her father at an early age, and lived a hard childhood. In Turnabout, author Dr. Bobby D. Waddell, Elbert’s and Irene’s son, describes how his parents faced many rough years early in their marriage. He tells how God stepped into their lives and created a turnabout change that allowed them to become a positive spiritual influence to their family, their pastorate, and the many other people who came to know them. Turnabout narrates the story of a plain, simple, small-town couple who traveled a unique journey in their ministry for Christ, sharing how their actions and presence in life demonstrated what being a Christian is all about.
In this heartwarming memoir, authors and brothers Mitchell Spears, Jr. and Bobby Earl Spears offer a loving tribute to their parents. Written by two seasoned law enforcement professionals, Bobby Kipper and Joe St. John, Roll Call is a Christian Spiritual Guide for other law enforcement professionals. Police work is a stressful and often dangerous job that puts a burden on the individual that most people will never understand. It also forces the police officer to see the world in a very real light and that light is not always positive. Kipper and St. John understand the challenges to staying spiritual in an often-harsh world. It is easy to lose focus on a loving and caring God in the midst of turmoil. It is easy to lose hope when a person sees so much hopelessness. Roll Call is as an easy-to-carry book that an officer can read in these troubling times. During a break from all the chaos, the officer can read a quick chapter and refocus on a loving God and the peace of Jesus. Roll Call is a “no-nonsense” book that places the Christian Faith in the forefront of the officers’ lives. In these drastic times of today and with the problems facing law enforcement, there is no better time for the faith community to have a police “Roll Call.”

This book is filled with the Word of God, and will renew you in the spirit of your mind. You'll begin to look at problems as preparation, trouble, as training and transition, and if one is a doer of the Word and not a hearer only it will transform one into the more than conqueror and overcomer God has created us to be in Jesus Christ! May your testimony inspire readers to know the testimony of Jesus Christ: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. As you prophesy before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings: may this book be like the little book of Revelation 10 when eaten makes the belly bitter, but it shall be in your mouth sweet as honey. Your fellow servant and of your brethren and father in the faith that have the testimony of Jesus. Pastor Houseworth Gary, Indiana
In the Great Commission, Jesus commanded his followers to go into the world and make disciples, teaching them to obey all that Jesus had said. But the very first “great commission” was really given much earlier—to parents. In Deuteronomy 6, God calls parents to the task of discipleship in raising their children. Discipleship is the greatest test for the Christian family today. In today’s busy world, many parents feel overwhelmed and aren’t sure what to do—or even where to begin. In Dedicated, Jason Houser is joined by Bobby Harrington and his son Chad, as they unpack the simple, practical, and essential practices of spiritually parenting and discipling children in the home. An inspirational training manual to equip parents, Dedicated will empower parents to pass along their faith to the next generation.

Dr. Bob Scurlock's father shared something with him that all of us wonder about. He told him "death is not the end." From his father's near death experience (NDE) and his mother's out of body experience (OBE), on to more than 35 personal NDE accounts, "The Passage, from Death to Life," gives every reader hope that there is something to look forward to after death. Common phenomena experienced by countless others describing "the light," "the tunnel," voices," or "the presence of deceased," are shared as common threads supporting what Dr. Raymond Moody, expert on NDEs, outlines as the nine elements that generally occur during the experience. In addition to these real-life, near-death accounts, Scurlock sheds his own light on these phenomena, from his personal experiences including his own encounter with God at fifteen, as well as in grounded, theoretical explanations revealed by some of the most respected NDE researchers, physicists and mathematicians in the country. Not meant to put forth a theological thesis concerning religious dogma, or to debate one religion's belief with another on attaining immortality, The Passage seeks to set forth the facts on what constitutes a Near Death Experience. For many, who have shared their stories and who read the book, The Passage provides hope and anticipation of a life after death.

Hello. First of all, I would like to thank you for your interest in my first book of poems. I hope to write many more in the future. I started getting poems that come to me, most of the time, as fast as I could write them down. I just listened to the words as the Lord gave them to me. That’s why I entitled it Heavenly Inspired Poetry. God had his hand in every one. If it weren’t for him, this wouldn’t be possible. I have been encouraged by my family and friends to share this gift to others and to let them know how he loves them also. I really hope you enjoy what you read and you are blessed by the words.
