“Long live the red terror!” This and other political slogans were used by China’s communist rulers as leverage for conflict and conflict management during 1949. China’s Cultural Revolution movement understandably fueled anger, fear, and terror among Chinese citizens. Currently, contrary to the positive façade that China, under the control of the Communist Chinese Party (CCP), tries to project regarding human rights, a dark reality reveals a brutal authoritarian state with no concern for religious freedom. What guiding philosophy could best help procure, provide, and protect religious freedom for all in a post-communist, Christianized, democratic China? Bob Fu argues that while various Christianity-oriented theories may appear promising, they fail to provide an adequate pluralistic foundation for protecting the religious freedoms of people of all faiths and none. The predominant theory of political liberalism in the West likewise fails to prove sufficiently inclusive for all faiths and worldviews. As an alternative, the author defends Baorong Duoyuan (inclusive pluralism), his own contextualized theory modeled after principled pluralism. This model, he believes, has the potential to help ensure that religious freedom for all becomes a reality.

This is a collection of stories that chronicle a sometimes side-splitting childhoodmine. I thought the episodic approach was the best way to tell the account. A boys life has no path to follow. Kids wake up each day and live that day. The vignettes spans ten years, from approximately 1938 to 1948, and the locales are Brooklyn, New York and Bellflower, California. I have changed some names, tried to make the stories interesting, clear, honest and easy to follow. The book is a series of little packages. The reader can begin anywhere.

A hit record relies on any number of factors: the right song, a memorable performance, a healthy promotional budget, great management, a spot of luck, and even some intangibles. Bob Massey was born during the depression in Wichita, KS. The only job available to his father was as bouncer in a nightclub and his mother was fry cook. They lived in a small apartment in the back of the nightclub until Bob was 2 years old when they moved to a farm near Udall, KS. Two brothers were born during the years on the farm. In 1943, his parents divorced and his father was immediately drafted. Bob lived with grandparents in western KS during the war and because his father suffered shell-shock upon his return, the boys were sent to live with their mom and a very harsh stepfather who expected them to work many hours a day on their farm. Bob survived a near fatal accident at age twelve and upon recovery developed a devil-may-care attitude to cover his anger and hurt. Bob married his high school sweetheart and they had five children. His title shows where he lives, how he came to know the Lord, and how the death of his oldest son led the family to the cross and tells of ministry developed from that experience.
