Every American should read this book and take immediate action thereafter to recall their state's US delegation to Washington. As a military enlistee, as do members of Congress, we sore an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. the same Constitution which we swore the oath dictates the Congress of the United Sates will proclaim a Declaration of War against any aggressor attacking this great nation. Congress has not proclaimed a Declaration of War since the December 7, 1941, Imperial Japanese Navy air and sea attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. However, Congress has funded and ordered the President of the United States to commit acts of war against sovereign nations, not because of military aggression, but to acquire fossil fuel reserves, critical industrial minerals, and a new Religious Crusade. Disabled American military veterans, i believe understand and accept the hardships, deaths injuries and unexpected from their combat and/or support duty in a hazardous environment and unwanted divorces and domestic issues to preserve and defend the US Constitution. However, to enrich the owners of the Federal Reserve, wall Street Investors and members of Congress is un-Constitutional.

Williams says it was “the kind of interracial love story America needed.” And when, as the first Black character in the Star Wars universe, he became a true pop culture icon, playing Lando Calrissian in George Lucas’s The Empire Strikes Back (“What I presented on the screen people didn’t expect to see”). It was a role he reprised in the final film of the original trilogy, The Return of the Jedi, and in the recent sequel The Rise of Skywalker. Prior to 1979, you probably hadn't heard of counterterrorism or Special Operations. Even so, special warriors have been around since Moses sent Joshua to spy out the land of Canaan. In 1986, Colonel Billy R. Wood served as the operations officer of the newly organized 45th Aviation Battalion (Special Operations). This unit was highly classified. The special operations training and missions carried out by the team were conducted in secret, and members couldn't even tell their wives and families where they were going. These soldiers were called the Lords of Darkness. Prior to its formation, much was written about the failed hostage rescue mission in Iran. The Pentagon leadership implied, "Whatever the costs, whatever we do, we can never have another Desert One." Secret exercises were conducted with modified aircraft and soon-to-be-skilled night flyers of Task Force 160, today known as "Night Stalkers." What you didn't read about was the "other" US Army Special Operations Aviation Battalion-an Army National Guard unit. Highly classified and therefore less known, it was a "mirror image" special aviation unit. You didn't realize they existed because you weren't supposed to know. These teachers, businessmen, lawyers, salesman, citizen soldiers, and traditional guardsmen were called the Lords of Darkness of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. The night belonged to them-and their hearts belonged to aviation.

Against the background of the world history of slavery being presented, his marriage is in polite meltdown. He ignores the apparent parallels between his family life and the slave woman's till they accelerate to a collision point on the Island of Barbados. "We can all have irrational thoughts or behave irrationally at times. But so long as you know you're being irrational you are not yet insane". His colleague's advice works well in the daylight, he thought, but not when, at the fading of the light, his visitor's narrative again claims ownership of him.

This novel takes place in a mining camp near Bessemer, Alabama in the early 1930's. The Author was a pre-teen at the time and lived in the community known as Potters Camp. The houses in the camp belonged to The Company and were rented to the miners. Potters was primitive, even by standards of the day. There was no electricity and no indoor plumbing. These people were very poor. But they were hard working, strong, proud, and for the most part they were God fearing. The miners worked long dangerous hours in the mines for little pay. They traded at the company store and with the few local merchants, most often on credit, and often their pay envelopes failed to cover what they owed on payday. They and their families supplemented their meager wages by raising vegetables, keeping livestock, and the women made most of the families' clothes. At this time there was struggle and conflict over efforts to unionize the miners. The Author carried her memories of Potters into the early 1960's when she put them on paper in the form of this novel. The manuscript went unseen until the children found it while cleaning out the home place after it had been sold, several years after her death.

The C-124 Globemaster--a U.S. military heavy-lift transport in service 1950 through 1974--barreling down a runway was an awesome sight. The aircraft's four 3800 hp piston engines (the largest ever mass-produced), mounted on its 174-foot wingspan, could carry a 69,000-pound payload of tanks, artillery or other cargo, or 200 fully equipped troops, at more than 300 mph. The flight crew, perched three stories above the landing gears in an unpressurized cockpit, relied, like Magellan, on celestial fixes to navigate over oceans. With a world-wide mission delivering troops and materials to such destinations as the Congo, Vietnam, Thule, Greenland and Antarctica, the Globemaster lived up to its name and was foundational to what Time magazine publisher Henry Luce termed the "American Century." Drawing on archives, Air Force bases, libraries and accident sites, and his own recollections as a navigator, the author details Cold War confrontations and consequent strategies that emerged after Douglas Aircraft Company delivered the first C-124A to the Military Air Transport Service in 1949.

Some of the boats were lavish floating palaces, while others were far from grand. Some traveled only for a summer season or two, others for years. Billy Bryant’s Showboat plied the inland waterways of the Ohio River watershed from before the First World War until 1942, bringing a blend of melodrama and vaudeville, laughter and therapeutic tears, into the lives of isolated people in rural communities along the way.
