It covers miracles of healing, attacks from the demonic, a quest for understanding God's Word, and deliverance from darkness. If it had not been for the love of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, and the prayers of my husband I could not have survived the journey. Satan tried to kill me many times. He wanted to destroy us both and has kept his demons busy trying to accomplish this goal, our DEATH! My husband and I became warriors. We all have areas of darkness, as we are born into sin because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the garden. Disobedience opened the door to Satan. Demonic represents the darkness or dirtiness. Jesus gives us light. We had to be freed from the forces of darkness and you can also. My story tells you how to achieve this. As you become clean, and generational curses are broken and removed from your bloodline, you will begin to notice changes around you. If you have children and they are under twelve years of age, your becoming clean will have positive effects upon their lives. The enemy will continue trying to get a foot hold back into your life. These are identifications of the demonic; Fear, bondage, infirmity, seducing spirits, deaf and dumb, anti-Christ, jealousy, divination, lying and familiar spirits, haughtiness, whoredoms, heaviness, perverse spirit, spirit of error and death. Satan will do anything to make you honor and worship him. He wants to laugh at God and show God his power and control over you, and the destruction he can bring into your life and the life of your loved ones. He hates you. He disrupts, distracts, and attacks, but he cannot conquer. He will tempt you in everything you hear, see, and touch. It is he that brings sickness, disease, and death to you, then whispers in your ear to blame God. If you have questions and are interested in deliverance, my book shares how to make contact with Deliverance Ministers. You too can be set free. The Holy Spirit revealed to us, "times are coming and people are going to be having some hard times. I do not wish for this to come upon the people of the Earth, but they bring it upon themselves. They allow Satan to enter into their lives and not Me. They keep themselves constantly in front of the T.V. My parents programming was so strong that my brothers and I continued playing our role's even as adults. Everyone in the small town where I grew up thought we were a normal loving family. The chain of people abuse can effect throughout our lifetime is endless. This book is not a plea for sympathy. My goal is increased awareness at the chain of injustice brought on by all forms of abuse. Chains can be broken / One link at a time.

In many cases our heritage depended on the outcome of yesterday.

Then, in 1920, the river was chosen as the site for a dam needed to control spring flooding in cities along the Hudson River, including Albany and Cohoes. In 1930, the valley was flooded creating the Great Sacandaga Lake.

This is my never-ending, ongoing contribution to poetry for over fifty years of things I've felt or seen (past and present) that I have simply needed to say. It was never my intention to shareit was just for mebut because of countless requests from family and friends, I decided to use my woman's prerogative to change my mind. Writing poetry has worked as therapy for me, always keeping me on an even keel. As you can see from most of my poetry, my happy times far outweigh the unhappy times of my very lucky life. My hope is that those who read this poetry might see and feel a great love within, possibly a little bit of humor, some love of nature, and maybe some reminders of happenings in their own lives in times that have passed through the years. In other words, I hope to touch your life in some small ways.

Unifying Biology offers a historical reconstruction of one of the most important yet elusive episodes in the history of modern science: the evolutionary synthesis of the 1930s and 1940s. For more than seventy years after Darwin proposed his theory of evolution, it was hotly debated by biological scientists. It was not until the 1930s that opposing theories were finally refuted and a unified Darwinian evolutionary theory came to be widely accepted by biologists. Using methods gleaned from a variety of disciplines, Vassiliki Betty Smocovitis argues that the evolutionary synthesis was part of the larger process of unifying the biological sciences. At the same time that scientists were working toward a synthesis between Darwinian selection theory and modern genetics, they were, according to the author, also working together to establish an autonomous community of evolutionists. Smocovitis suggests that the drive to unify the sciences of evolution and biology was part of a global philosophical movement toward unifying knowledge. In developing her argument, she pays close attention to the problems inherent in writing the history of evolutionary science by offering historiographical reflections on the practice of history and the practice of science. Drawing from some of the most exciting recent approaches in science studies and cultural studies, she argues that science is a culture, complete with language, rituals, texts, and practices. Unifying Biology offers not only its own new synthesis of the history of modern evolution, but also a new way of "doing history.
