Written out of History contains memoirs of six activists from the 1960s onward that show how ordinary people became involved in the movements for peace and justice, in the US and Latin America. They describe demonstrations, political groups, arrests, hands-on work, and cultural expression and honor the pain, excitement and personal changes they underwent. The sacrifices and rewards remain with them as they pursue their lives as citizens, parents, grandparents, and professionals. Wiser and more reflective, they continue as committed activists today.
