The English, Dutch, French, and Spanish colonists all employed enslavement of Indians as a policy until the end of the 18th century.

The Founding Fathers did not describe the ideal candidate; there are no educational requirements nor is there a qualifying exam. Some presidents had very little formal education; Abe Lincoln had less than a year of schooling and Andrew Johnson had none at all. The only president who held a Ph.D. was Woodrow Wilson.
