The handing on of the faith’ has become a deep crisis and a problematic today and has turned to be a burning issue for the contemporary Church. What is necessary in the contemporary culture is to develop a counter-culture that passionately understands the love of God and sharing it passionately and joyfully with the fellow humans and the world around us. We need a counter-culture of sharing the truth and love which is God. Pope Francis’ message is none other than this. He exhorts for a missionary renewal in the Church and to have a new theological outlook that leads the Church to be a Church of the poor – a counter culture of compassionate and tender love. When it comes to India, the Church, a minority in number, faces a lot of challenges in its practice and proclamation of faith. Globalization and the new economic reforms badly affected the Indian culture which is turning to be secular, as well as fundamentalist. With a weak presence in many areas the Church in India is struggling to make its presence felt in the nation. Here the author is making an attempt to understand the joyful sharing of the Gospel in the Indian context in the light of the first two documents of Pope Francis. The author discusses the challenges and ways to face the challenges to be truthful by being in love and faith. It will provide a clear understanding to live the faith relying upon God’s providence and mercy, and will enable the Church to work for the holistic development of humanity.

About the Author Babu is graduated from Government of Kerala, India, Department of Technical Education, Diploma in Engineering (Automobile) and has more than 35 plus years of experience in various manufacturing industries. After retiring, he has decided to do something for the industrial community that will help them to ease the manufacturing process with freedom to do their assigned work with pride in quality and workmanship. This passion drove him to invent industrial statistics. Babu believes all his activities in both professional and spiritual life are guided by the Holy Spirit. His special interest is to serve the community in whatever ways possible. He served as a senior citizen commissioner in the city of Cypress for almost four years, conducting a survey to determine the needs of the seniors and proposed suggestions to the council for action. He also was the 3rd Vice Chairman of the SME, Orange County Chapter #119 and he was selected as the instructor to teach the manufacturing students at the California State University, Fullerton, who are taking tests as certified Manufacturing Engineers, and continued that position for three years until the program was discontinued by the State government. He has also worked to organize annual picnics with activities for children and adults alike as well as charity work to raise money to help those in need after a disaster. He has a wife and three children and five grandchildren and his wife is a retired nursing supervisor from the local hospital.

India has a comprehensive Healthcare system comprising government and private service providers. Indian healthcare sector comprise of both allopathy & Alternative systems of medicine i.e. AYUSH. Indian Healthcare industry is worth Rs. 730 billion, and occupies 4 per cent of country’s GDP. In India, the Healthcare system is organised into primary, secondary and tertiary levels of delivery system. Healthcare ServicesDuring 2010-11, sales of the industry had grown by 25.4 per cent. During 2011-12 and 2012-13, transactions are expected to grow by a healthy 18.6 per cent and 20.5 per cent respectively. The National Health Policy (NHP)in light of the Directive Principles of the constitution of India recommends "universal, comprehensive primary health care services which are relevant to the actual needs and priorities of the community at a cost which people can afford". Globally, health expenditure as a proportion of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ballooned in the second half of the 20th century, experiencing an almost threefold increase from 3 per cent in the 1950s to 8.5 per cent by 2014. According to the OECD, key drivers of greater health spending include: Rising incomes; Demographic trends; Ageing Population; Epidemiological trends; and Development and diffusion of new technologies and drugs. The four modes of cross-border delivery of services under GATS can be summarized as follows: Services supplied from one country to another; Consumers or firms making use of a service in another country; A foreign company setting up subsidiaries or branches to provide services in another country; and Individuals travelling from their own country to supply services in another country. Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the hospitals and diagnostic center segment has reached a new high in India. India is already charged in this route as evident from the 100% allowance of FDI in the hospital segment under automatic route, since January 2000. There is also an increasing interest among private equity funds, domestic and international financial institutions, venture capitalists, and banks to examine investment opportunities across an extensive range of segments. A developing country like India can adopt a mechanism for healthcare delivery for medical tourists to strengthen its economy by Creating an efficient and economic human resource pool (skilled medical and paramedical professionals), offer competitive costs and high quality of care to medical tourists.
