Tracing the genesis of Hinduism to pre-Indus Valley period, the book explains Hindu, Hinduism and Sanatana Dharma, before it takes one through Hinduism’s oldest scriptures - the four Vedas, the four components of each Veda, and what they contain. How all original translations of Vedic texts were done by Western Sanskrit scholars, and why their works have left scope for doubt about the fidelity of translations. The yajnas (yagya) like Ashvamedha, Rajsooya, Vajpeya, etc., about which we only hear on TV serials and talk shows, have been demystified. The reader will be taken aback reading the sheer size and scale of Soma yajna, described step by step, in great detail. Hinduism’s journey to the Age of Reason, the Upanishads, its encounter with Buddhism, and its transformation into idol worshipping society with many gods and a multitude of stories about its millions of gods is lucidly explained. Puranas, what they contain and what was the reason they were created, has been described and explained next. Hinduism's journey to its modern form - idol worship, the modern puja, detailed description of puja and Sanskaras like Vivaha, their detailed description, the meaning of each action and how they are conducted, the gift to the priest, types of idols, their consecration, all are explained to help a reader understand the why and the how of what we do as a Hindu. In the 1st chapter, describes advances of aviation fuel derived from renewable sources is a “DROP-IN” alternative for air transport as it has a similar high energy density and meets all the required fuel specifications. Major challenges faced by the industry with respect to the development of alternative aviation fuel are - high quality standards requirements, safety issues, wide range of operational conditions and drop-in kind with traditional aviation jet fuel. In the 2nd chapter, To describes significant optical features of luminescent materials have drawn immense appreciation in all walks of life including organic dyes, metal-organic frameworks, lanthanide compounds, semiconductor-based quantum dots, and carbon-based nanodots, which attribute numerous applications to these Luminescent materials. Moreover, they have been proven important in various applications, including gas storage and separation, heterogeneous catalysis, light-harvesting, chemical sensing, bio-imaging, and drug delivery. In the 3rd chapter, describes introduction of mixed ligand dithiolate complexes of cobalt, synthesis of mixed ligand complexes of cobalt (II) with dithiolate (1-methoxy carbonyl –1- cyano ethylene -2,2- dithiolate) and nitrogen donors. In the 4th chapter, Mixed ligand complexes of the type [Ni(L)n(dithio)] n=1 or 2 L= OPD, and various substituted pyridines, dithio=(NaS)2C=C(CN) COOMe.H2O have been synthesized and characterized. In the 5th chapter, discussed about conducting polymers (CPs) are chemical compounds or mixtures of compounds composed of structural units formed during the polymerization process. The prospective uses of CPs, particularly in the realm of electronic manufacturing, have piqued the curiosity of researchers. In the 6th chapter, BiOCl nanomaterial have been acknowledged as potential and promising environmental remediation material because of their low costs, low toxicities, and enormous stabilities as well as resourceful photocatalytic activities of various hazardous environmental pollutants including dyes, pesticides and several other organic pollutants etc. In the 7th chapter, discuss about polyaniline (PANI) which is reviewed as environmental remediation. In the 8th chapter, describe a the low cost activated carbon based adsorbent derived from the fruit of Kigelia Africana (KA), was characterized for effective removal of Pb (II) from its aqueous solution and determine the rate of adsorption. In the 9th chapter, discuss about Ionic liquid which has emerged as intriguing modern material in science and technology. To better comprehend and investigate the unusual and fascinating characteristics of ionic liquids. In the 10th chapter, to prepare the nanocomposites of Titania by solution impregnation method and used as photocatalyst for the degradation of acetic acid at various factors. In the 11th chapter, discuss about health and socioeconomic conditions which are inextricably linked. A substantial beneficial influence on economic success is ensured by the general population's well health. Cardiovascular complexity is the single most serious health problem in India. Hypertension is a key risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In the 12th chapter, discuss about waste management. There is need for framing policies for effective management of waste and above all implementation of them by the authority and adherence to them by the general public. In the 13th chapter highlights the potential of Hierarchical Nanostructured 3D Flowerlike BiOX (X=Cl, Br, I) microsphere as a remarkable technology towards the environmental remediation processes of various hazardous and persistent environmental pollutants. In the 14th chapter, to prepared the nanoparticles of zirconium oxide and characterized them by the some characterization techniques. In the 15th chapter, discuss about waste management which involves the procedures and actions necessary to manage waste from generation to disposal. This covers waste collection, transportation, treatment, and disposal, as well as waste management process monitoring and control, as well as waste-related legislation, technology, and economic processes. In the 16th chapter, discuss about the role of probiotic milk in human health. The numerous perceived health benefits and the growing awareness about probiotics have caught the attention of the food industry. Food companies are increasingly manufacturing foods with incorporated probiotic bacteria, which fall under the new category of foods called Functional Foods. According to the 2018 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 14.4 million adults aged 18 and older had alcohol use disorder (AUD). Mixing alcohol with other drugs such as opioids or cocaine has become an emerging trend, exacerbating public health concerns and may synergistically augment the seriousness of the adverse effects such as withdrawal symptoms, cardiovascular disorders, liver damage, reproductive abnormalities, and behavioral abnormalities. Despite the seriousness of the situation, possible mechanisms underlying the addiction and the withdrawal symptoms is not yet understood. This has been one of the key hindrances in developing effective treatment. Neurobiology of Alcohol and the Brain addresses the addiction-related problems reviewing both the mechanisms and withdrawal system with alcohol addiction. First, the book discusses the mechanisms of the rewarding and aversive effects, including addiction and the withdrawal symptoms of alcohol drinking. Next, alcohol's interaction with other drugs and ensuing adverse consequences is discussed including current and novel treatments against alcoholism. This is followed by a closer look at mental health and alcohol use disorder comorbidity. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have attracted high interest over the last few decades in the wireless and mobile computing research community. Applications of WSNs are numerous and growing, including indoor deployment scenarios in the home and office to outdoor deployment in an adversary’s territory in a tactical background. However, due to their distributed nature and deployment in remote areas, these networks are vulnerable to numerous security threats that can adversely affect their performance. This problem is more critical if the network is deployed for some mission-critical applications, such as in a tactical battlefield. Random failure of nodes is also very likely in real-life deployment scenarios. Due to resource constraints in the sensor nodes, a traditional security mechanism with high overhead of computation and communication is not feasible in WSNs. Design and implementation of secure WSNs is, therefore, a particularly challenging task. This book covers a comprehensive discussion on state-of-the-art security technologies for WSNs. It identifies various possible attacks at different layers of the communication protocol stack in a typical WSN and presents their possible countermeasures. A brief discussion on the future direction of research in WSN security is also included.

It also examines the response of the film makers to the changes that have been taking place over the years in society vis-à-vis the communal milieu in the country and their contribution towards making a cinema that heals. Ever since its inception a century ago, Indian cinema, far more than other popular cultural medium, has consistently taken up highly appealing and socially relevant interpretations of popular religious beliefs and customs. It has often attempted to ensure that the audiences identified themselves with the characters as they enacted their roles on screen. This cinema, though dominated by love stories and romantic escapism, has, occasionally, sent out a powerful message against age-old religious orthodoxy and outdated traditions by emphasizing that such factors have caused tremendous social tensions and suffering. In a very significant way, Indian cinema has tried to systematically break down religious and other barriers (say, ethnic, language, caste and class) and has endeavoured to engender an egalitarian society despite numerous obstacles.
