A college Junior woman (Miriam) and an incoming Freshman boy (Peter) develop a relationship while never actually meeting through the first two-thirds of the novel. They “communicate” first through prose poetry, then a two-character Podcast drama reminiscent of A. J. Gurney’s “Love Letters,” hence, Duet. The next three short stories,, a novella and a dénouement conclude the work, introducing a feisty Long Island Graduating High School Senior (Gina) and Peter’s troubled 15-year-old sister, Lucy, hence, Quartet. The interweaving of literary styles and points of view compare and contrast in a literary symphony.
