Take Back America came to be during a trip to New York City. It started out as a joke since none of us have ever written a book. The idea could not escape our minds, the more we thought, the more we hoped a book of this kind could be a real inspiration to the American public. One idea turned into another and another. All of us have watched as our country has taken a turn for the worse. Inflation has skyrocketed out of control to the point people can barely afford the gas to get back and forth to work or put food on their table. America has always been known for its fundamental family values, moral integrity, and responsible citizenship. Standing by our principles has become so overwhelming because of our hectic lives and the shifts we work; fitting the simplest things into our day is barely possible anymore. Therefore, many of the essential characteristics, that have made our country an inspiration to most, have been lost along the way. Without our show of patriotism, it looks like we take our country for granted. Most of us who live here and love our country have been neglecting our responsibilities as U.S. citizens. It is with this in mind that we give you this book to bring back the missing qualities we are lacking to "Take Back America", one individual at a time. In the pages of this book, you will read many suggestions that you can incorporate into your daily lives to "Take Back America". Can we do them all? NO WAY!! We are only humansnot super heroes!! What we need is for all of you to take some of these ideas and make them your obsession and "Pass Your Enthusiasm Along" to othersmake patriotism contagious.

In October 2002, a nation still recovering from the 9/11 attacks found itself under siege once more -- by an unseen, unknown, and seemingly unstoppable enemy. For 23 days, the area around Washington, D.C., was the hunting ground for a pair of serial snipers who struck at random, killing from afar, only to vanish time and time again. With each attack, they raised the stakes, taunting the authorities to try to stop them -- until their luck ran out. Here, from veteran reporter Angie Cannon and the staff of U.S. News & World Report, comes the complete story of one of the most heinous crimes in American history -- a chronicle of the harrowing days in October that took ten innocent lives and wounded three others; the means and methods used by law enforcement -- and their mistakes; the suspects' backgrounds and possible motives; and the fear that gripped a region of five million people and the effect these shocking acts of terror continue to have on American society.

Ryan's Recovery: The Darkest Before the Dawn takes you on a journey of almost twenty years in time, starting in 2000 and ending in 2019. It is a story of heartache to triumph and everything in between, raising an autistic child. Ryan Ward went from being diagnosed as severely autistic with only echolalic speech, no need for human affection, and no understanding of the world around him, to becoming an artist and a working adult with high-functioning autism. The time line starts in the midst of recovery protocols and goes back in time to reveal the entire story. It is a story of climbing out of complete despair, confusion, and depression, to standing up and making a difference. It truly shows you what it takes to put someone first in your life in every aspect. Everyone will say they put their children first, but when it comes to special-needs children, this phrase takes on an entirely different meaning. The book guides you through special diets, homeopathic protocols, several different therapies such as OT, PT, sensory, visual, behavioral, chiropractic, and craniosacral. It also touches on battles with school authorities, IEP meetings, and bullying. The story also shows how autism has the ability to interfere with marriages, relationships with other children in the family, social life, and just plain daily living. It does, however, also send the message that if you put your mind, heart, and soul into anything you want to accomplish, that nothing is impossible. It is a story that proves that when presented with a mountain that looks too high to climb, you find a way to tunnel under the mountain, go around the side of the mountain, or fly over it if you have to; but you never ever give up. In the end, the story will show you that no matter which way you choose to get to the other side of the mountain, you will indeed get there, and when you do, the feeling of accomplishment and pride in what you have done makes all the difficult times in the past only a stepping stone that got you there. What seemed impossible twenty years ago has now become reality, and walking through this journey with my now adult son has made me a stronger person and given me the confidence to know there is nothing that can't be obtained with the correct professionals, friends, family, and love.

What a shame that someone out there, some group of very strange people, have such a strong driving need to destroy mankind, to enslave it and humiliate it, and teach us all to believe that we have no value and we don't matter and we can't think for ourselves. The wars and genocides are all a part of some grotesque greater plan, and separating the human being from himself is the beginning and end of hope for our species. But we don't have to go along with anything that we know is evil or wrong or destructive. We don't have to choose to be devalued and disrespected by anyone who claims to be more important than ourselves. We already know that no legitimate being would tell us to be less than we are. It's the overt demand that we stop existing. That's slow death from the inside out. On a vast scale, when all of society gets down on its knees to mere men who say they must, it is spiritual genocide. We are free to stop doing it anytime.

Today, we can almost hear the encouraging whispers of our forefathers, who are part of our forever family.
A breakthrough book on the transformative power of collaborative thinking Collaborative intelligence, or CQ, is a measure of our ability to think with others on behalf of what matters to us all. It is emerging as a new professional currency at a time when the way we think, interact, and innovate is shifting. In the past, “market share” companies ruled by hierarchy and topdown leadership. Today, the new market leaders are “mind share” companies, where influence is more important than power, and success relies on collaboration and the ability to inspire. Collaborative Intelligence is the culmination of more than fifty years of original research that draws on Dawna Markova’s background in cognitive neuroscience and her most recent work, with Angie McArthur, as a “Professional Thinking Partner” to some of the world’s top CEOs and creative professionals. Markova and McArthur are experts at getting brilliant yet difficult people to think together. They have been brought in to troubleshoot for Fortune 500 leaders in crisis and managers struggling to inspire their teams. When asked about their biggest challenges at work, Markova and McArthur’s clients all cite a common problem: other people. This response reflects the way we have been taught to focus on the gulfs between us rather than valuing our intellectual diversity—that is, the ways in which each of us is uniquely gifted, how we process information and frame questions, what kind of things deplete us, and what engages and inspires us. Through a series of practices and strategies, the authors teach us how to recognize our own mind patterns and map the talents of our teams, with the goal of embarking together on an aligned course of action and influence. In Markova and McArthur’s experience, managers who appreciate intellectual diversity will lead their teams to innovation; employees who understand it will thrive because they are in touch with their strengths; and an entire team who understands it will come together to do their best work in a symphony of collaboration, their individual strengths working in harmony like an orchestra or a high-performing sports team. Praise for Collaborative Intelligence “Rooted in the latest neuroscience on the nature of collaboration, Collaborative Intelligence celebrates the power of working and thinking together at the highest levels of business and politics, and in the smallest aspects of our everyday lives. Dawna Markova and Angie McArthur show us that our ability to collaborate is not only a measure of intelligence, but essential to solving the world’s problems and seeing the possibilities in ourselves and others.”—Arianna Huffington “This inspiring book teaches you how to align your intention with the intention of others, and how, through shared strengths and talents, you have every right to expect greatness and set the highest goals and expectations.”—Deepak Chopra “Everyone talks about collaboration today, but the rhetoric typically outweighs the reality. Collaborative Intelligence offers tangible tools for those serious about becoming ‘system leaders’ who can close the gap and make collaboration real.”—Peter M. Senge, author of The Fifth Discipline “I have worked with Markova and McArthur for several years, focusing on achieving better results through intellectual diversity. Their approach has encouraged more candid debate and collaborative behavior within the team. The team, not individuals, becomes the hero.”—Al Carey, CEO, PepsiCo
Diamond Pearl Hope is a biracial news reporter. She experiences a hard childhood. Diamond is only ten years old when her black mother dies. She goes to live with relatives who discriminate against her because she is mixed race. Diamond is rescued from abusive family members through adoption. Book Review BlueInk Review of Diamonds Fate (paperback 978-1-4568-8877-0) revised by Author Angie Singleton, 09/15/2011 This intriguing novel captures the tumultuous life of Diamond Pearl Hope, a biracial news reporter living in Florida. Diamond was born to a white father and African-American mother. Due to the death of her mother, Diamond is forced to go live in a household with family members who frequently torment her, because of her light skin and interracial heritage. Diamond gets adopted by a white couple and experiences life on the other side of the color line, after the horrific death of her grandmother. When Diamond graduates from college, she meets and marries a man twice her age. She learns, firsthand, the intricacies of the criminal justice system, after getting arrested for assaulting her husband, who attacks her in a drunken rage. Struggling to put her life back together, Diamond finds strength in her Christian faith, caring friends and a loving family, including her newly discovered biological father, whom she reconciles with. In the end, Diamond not only wins an award for investigative reporting of domestic violence, she makes peace with those family members whod hurt her in the past; and her black and white relatives unite in a joyful celebration. Written in a distinctive voice Diamonds Fate conjures up past and current history making events such as the O.J. Simpson trial with telling details. References are made to popular music, movies and television shows that influenced society for generations. While the book contains idiosyncrasies or elements not typically found in most novels, such as: the authors personal photo album included in the back of the book and a frequency of italicized words and paragraphs, the story is compelling enough to make for an exciting, enjoyable and enlightening read. Readers interested in Christian and inspirational stories, as well as those curious about the unique challenges facing biracial children, will appreciate this tale of struggle and triumph. Novel is also available in hardcopy and ebook.
